The p0304 code is a misfire on cylinder 4 (the last number indicates the cylinder). Check the plug and compare to the others. The plug should be a grey peach colour. Now check the plug lead end socket. There should be no signs of tracking through the insulation to the cylinder head. Check the high tension lead resistances. If lead 4 is much higher resistance than the rest, replace it. Now take a look at the distributor cap, make sure that there are no signs of tracking on the interior or the cap is cracked. Ensure that the contacts and distributor arm are clean and free of build-up. Since the error is specific to one cylinder it is likely that the coil is OK.

What type of spark plugs does a 2006 Jeep Wrangler use?

Hello reconrandall,

For the 2.4 four cylinder the recommended plug is a Champion RE16MC gaped to .037 to .042 inches and for the 4.0 six cylinder, NGK ZFR5N gap to .030 to .035 inches.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Jerry

I have a 2006 jeep wrangler and my signals & hazard lights are not working, Jeep says I need a 4 way switch?? Do you sell it and how much?

Hi ronda. No we do not sell parts but this is a common item which you will find at any autoparts store. The part you need is called a flasher, get the heavy duty version. The price will be in the $5-$10 range. Joe
