Removal plastic engine cover to access air filter

remove passenger side sound insulator.remove screw on access panel.remove panel and replace both filters.

It is located in the engine cover, the large plastic cover that hides most of the engine. It's a pain to get to. You need to remove the air boot that goes to the throttle body and also remove the intake duct that attaches to the radiator core support. There are some philips head screws that hold the 2 halves of the engine cover over the filter, you have to access the underside of the engine cover to get to them.

Go buy a Purolator Cabin Filter as they come with instructions. The filter is located below the windshield, passenger side. The black plastic cover must be removed to access the filter. You simply raise the hood and remove 3 plastic clips, and the washer hose from it's holders. This will allow you to remove the plastic cover over the filter.

Have to first remove the plastic cover under the windshield wipers in order to have access to the cabin air filter. It is held together by plastic expansion plugs and four torx bolt covered by rectangular cover. Then remove the windshield wiper and presto air filter.

YOUR PLASTIC COVER HAS CAPS ON TOP OF IT THAT YOU HAVE TO REMOVE.TO GET TO COVER BOLTS.SO YOU CAN REMOVE COVER.

follow the black plastic hose (Going towards the passenger side fender well), remove the plastic cover should be three plastic clips, once the cover is removed you will see the air box, two clips are in the front of the cover, pop them open and you see the filter, hope it helps

The air filters are located within the engine cover. You need to pop the cover off and access the bottom of the cover. There are 8 20 torx bolts. The cabin filter is located in the rear engine compartment on the pass side over the battery. It is held in by 3 clips.

Purchase a Purolator Cabin Filter for your Impala. It comes with complete instructions. The filter is located below the windshield, passenger side. The black plastic cover must be removed to access the filter. You simply raise the hood and remove 3 plastic clips, and the washer hose from it's holders. This will allow you to remove the plastic cover over the filter

remove engine plastic covers by taking out the 5mm allen key bolts,, then remove the pollen filter and cover on the bulkhead, under the filter there are 4 , 30torx bolts , remove these and remove plastic bulkhead, then remove the 5mm allen key bolts holding the air filter cover to the engine, then remove the cover , change filter ,

remove the black plastic covers on the right side of the engine. believe you have to remove the battery cover and the other plastic cover to get to the air filter cover.
