I dropped my keychain with the remote door opener thingie (the thing with the buttons on it that you click to lock or unlock your door or open your trunk) for my 2004 Chrysler Sebring into a puddle, and now when I press the button, nothing happens. I can't open or lock the doors or the trunk using it, nor will the panic button work. If anyone knows of any way to fix this, I would greatly appreciate some help with this. Many thanks!
Press and hold the "Valet" switch again after releasing the first time and wait for the system's siren to chirp and the LED light to blink.

I can verify that this works. I washed my fob along with the laundry today. I took the case apart, used my blow-dryer to dry the moisture and then set it aside.
I wasn't sure if I had done the right thing until I came across this post. Sure enough, it works.
which direction do the batteries go into the remote?
my car remote went swimming with me I haven't tried to use it and I still need to retrieve it from the pool/pier where I was swimming it's been about 3 hours but I think what's been writen makes sense. As long as the circuit in the remote doesn't get used (and current does not pass through it while it's wet) it should be fine. Correct me if I'm wrong.
opened the car with the remote but the front doors dont open but they are unlocked even if you open them from inside, but the back doors can open.. Chrysler sebring 2008
cant open doors after manually locking them
I have a problem with my 2004 Chrysler Sebring Sedan.
When I open the drivers door from outside, it doesn't automatically opens the passangers door.
The funny thing is that the centerlock works great. Yhe LOCK buttons on located on both doors in front work from the inside.
Also, when I close the drivers door from outside using de key, it will close all four doors.
Any idea how to fix this small problem.
Thanks !
I replaced the battery in both remotes and still it does not open the doors or trunk and does not shut off the security system.
