Hi there i just had the whole top end of my 1994 mazda mx-3 done and i put a fuel system cleaner in and every time i have started her for the last four days since shes been home i get a huge stinky smoke cloud out her exaust?? any ideas on what the problem could be? i ran it down to empty and refilled it and the problem still has not ceased??
Yes it will go away. The oil, depending on how much there is, will burn off fairly quickly. The more you drive, the faster it will finish.
The more likely symptom for white smoke from exhaust is piston rings are worn out . Due to this there might be oil leakage and engine oil which is meant for engine lubrication might have entered the combustion chamber. Burning of engine oil produces white smoke. You should quickly change the piston rings as if you ignore this problem this can cause engine mal-functioning
