We have a 2008 Saturn Vue with a remote car starter that won't work. Installed a new battery(In remote) and everything works in the process up until the engine starting.(Locks doors then hold down starter button...lights flash as indicated in manual but the next step won't happen...Engine start) Could it possibly be a fuse associated with this? I checked manual but didn't see anything obvious.Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

2008 Saturn vue replaced starter, still won't start.what could be the problems

Could be lots of things. Do you have signal going to the starter. Does the starter make noise. Do you have 12 volts at the battery. Is the alternator working. Do you have signal at the spark plugs.

2008 Saturn vue won't turn over. Replaced starter but still nothing. Checked battery and everything else is working properly just won't do nothing when u turn key but click.

bad batteries can charge up to twelver volts. Monitor voltage while crankung if it drops to or below 8 volts you do have a bad battery. It could be a solenoid switch although that starter should have come with a new one. Baterry terminals can corrode to the point that that they will not cobduct. Also ignition switch could have broken..
Last but perhaps the first thing to check is a coolant leak... A cylander full of antifreeze coolant will prevent the engine from turning over.
The new starter we put on a friends car did turn the engine over bending a rod and breaking a piston. Had we know a cylander was full of water we could have done head gaskets instead he spent four thousand dollars on a full overhaul.

I have a 2008 Saturn Vue, all dashboard lights work, seatbelt alarm they all work except the fuel gauge doesn't work and the engine will not turn over. It isn't the battery and has new starter.

If it is a new starter and it is not turning over the engine it has to be because it is not receiving power. Check battery connections and start solenoid and any fuses/relays in the mix.

I replace a new starter on 2008 Saturn suv 2.4 4 cylinder still doesn't crank

Sounds like a security system issue. Using the key fob to lock and unlock the doors will usually reset the system. You may have to do this procedure a couple of times and see if it works

My 2008 Saturn Vue won't crank or start!? We have tried everything to get the Saturn started but nothing working. It's not the starter or the battery. We have lights and everything works just won't crank...

If you have a voltmeter, Connect one end to the hot terminal on your starter. (Making sure that you don't get any body part or anything stuck in any moving parts in your engine compartment!) Turn the key and look at the meter. If it goes up to 12 V or higher, that means that power is getting to the starter, and the problem is either the starter or a bad ground. If the voltage stays at zero, the problem is before the starter and could be your alarm, a relay, a fuse, etc. It would help you to have the wiring diagram for your car.

Remote start dont work in 2008 saturn vue and its not the batterys

The hood latch has a switch in it. The hood latch does not move the entire distance when the hood is closed and the switch does not close so remote start will not work. Everthing else appears to be OK. I have had two hood latch replacements on my 2008.

98 saturn sl1 won't start

If the problem occurs after the car has been driven long enough to reach normal operating temperature, the problem is the starter. If the 'no crank' occurs cold, retest the battery.
