Pull the release straps located in the trunk. The right strap operates the passenger's side rear split seat. The left strap operates the driver's side rear split seat. Fold the seatback down from the inside of the vehicle
You will probably have to disassemble the rear seat to fix the latch. The lower seat cusion has latches that can be pushed in with a flat-blade screwdriver. If you pull up on the seat a little, you can see them. They are made of white plastic. There is a button on the front of them that will release the lower cusion. I usually use a flat-blade screwdriver to push on the latch buttons because they can be really hard to push by hand. Once the seat cusion is out, you can access the bolts that hold the seat back assembly in. You can remove these bolts and remove the entire seat back assembly.. Once the seat back is loose, you will have to reach around the seat assembly to remove the push-clips that hold the trunk-side carpet to the back side of the seat. You will then be able to work on the seats to repair the latch. (pull cords)
By switching the lever you locked the inside trunk release, you will need to put lever back. as far as the trunk you may need to remove the rear seat, pop lower part out and then remove the bolts to the top half of the seat then try to reach the lever so it will open from the inside. i've found that many of these cars with the pop lever inside have sticking trunk locks from not being used, what you do first is spary lock good, with wd40 or pb blaster then slide key in and out and try to turn this may take a whhile but it works then tumbler will free up, you just have to keep spraying inside lock and working the key.
Your latch may be broken go though the trunk though the back seat. Check to see if the latch is broken; or stuck. There is a little hole where all you have to do is use a screwdriver turn clockwise if trunk opens then your latch is either broken or your locking mechanism is stuck. Good luck and hope this helps you.
You are probably low on fluid.
Behind the rear seat is your motor/pump/reservoir combination.
With the top down, fill the reservoir to overflowing with ATF.
Cycle the system a few times and repeat.
Do this till the reservoir will take no more fluid.
Check the lines and cylinders for leaks. The fluid must be going somewhere.
If you replace any lines or cylinders, always do them in pairs.

Try gaining access by removing rear seat. You can then unbolt lock mechanism, using a couple of long extensions. Once you get in there it should be easy to figure out whats what!
