Overheating the fan in the radiator isnt coming on. changed fuse, thermostate and switch for fan in radiator. besides this problem my gauges keep going flat on the panel. my friend tried to fix the problem by taking off the panel and messing with the plug thats when the overheating started, i'm just the nurse i'm not the doctor. lol

check to see if the fan comes on if not check fuses if it comes on flush engine and radiator then change the thermastate this should cure the problem

Coolant blowing out of the cap is due to a bad cap but overheating will also cause this to happen, you will need to find out why its overheating. First is to make sure the cooling system is full, then run the engine as you keep an eye on the temp gauge inside the car. If the engine starts to run hot take a look at the radiator fan and see if its turning, if it is then i would start with a thermostant but if the fans are not coming on then i would take a look at the fans and also have the coolant temp sensor checked,a scan tool would be very helpful here, you would be able to test alot more things, but this is where i would start.

sounds like the cooling fan might not be working..check to see if it is working or not...if not check the power to the fan to make sure it isnt a fuse or bad fan motor

Make sure the fans are coming on or it will over heat. If the fans come and the gauge is reading hot check the thermostat. Follow the top radiator hose to the engine block it probably has 2 bolts holding the thermostat housing on.

Is it leaking? Are the fans running?

The radiator fan may not be blowing.
Idle car with parking brake engaged.
Turn OFF Air Conditioner
Pop open hood and look at the radiator fan.
It is not spinning.
Turn ON Air Conditioner and look at fan.
The fan MUST be spinning.

Replace the "Radiator fan" relay switch.
Check primary fuses and replace as needed.

if you make the contacts on the plug that connects to the thermo switch, does the fan work (both speeds?)?

if not, then it could be the fan control module or a fuse on there.

change the thermostate and gasket after you change it let the truck heat up then cool then refill the radiator again after the thermostate opens do not open the radiaator with the truck hot or the upper hose hard

1. start the engine and leave the radiator cap open.
2. put a cardboard cover or a rug in the front of you radiator.
3. let it runs 20 minutes or more, see if it is overheated and see the water or coolant in the radiator circulated or not. If not, as soon as you have already changed water pump. thermostate and check the hoses, no leak, I think your radiator was blocked.

Did you put stop leak before?
