Question about 1999 Lexus ES 300
The trax light stays on while running and engine light too. Can we reset the computer and will this solve the problem. Can it be a sensor if so were is it located?
This has been happening to my car as well. It typically happens when your oxygen sensors start to wear out. Mine does it once in a while and I have the local auto store reset it. Go to your nearest auto store and have them tell you what code it is and ask them to reset the OBD so the light goes out. If the light comes on right away and the code has to do with your oxygen sensors, have them replaced. There are three, two are easy to replace, one takes some effort as it is in a tough to get to spot. The dealer will charge you a fortune to replace them so do it yourself or through a local mechanic. It is a very simple task other then the access.
If you disconnect the battery to reset the engine light, make sure you have the code to reset the anti theft on the radio, otherwise your radio will not work

I have a 2007 Pontiac G6 GT, and my engine light is on, i put i on the computer at autozone and it said the trottle sensor, so i put that on the hold gas petal and the car is still idling and missing, sound like a fuel problem but the traction light is coming on and the engine power reducing. if it was just a sensor would it still be missing?

... If you turn the system off by moving the shift lever
to FIRST (1) or SECOND (2), the warning light will
come on and stay on. To turn the system back on,
move the shift lever back to a position other than
FIRST (1) or SECOND (2). The warning light
should go off. (See "Enhanced Traction System"
in the Index for more information.)
The warning light will come on when you set your
parking brake with the engine running, and it will
stay on if your parking brake doesn't release fully.
If the transaxle shift lever is in any position other
than FIRST (1) or SECOND (2) and the warning
light stays on after your parking brake is fully
released, it means there's a problem with the system.
If the traction control system is affected by an
engine-related problem, the system will turn off
and the warning light will come on.
If the Enhanced Traction System warning light comes
on and stays on for an extended period of time when the
transaxle shift lever is in any position other than FIRST
(1) or SECOND (2) your vehicle needs service.
