"CEL" comes on (Check Engine light) Code=P2135 IIRC ... My car is Sonata model 1994 automatic with 4 cylinder. .... Join Date: May 2010.
No promises but this is the only reference I could find for Hyundai where the fuse box was not behind a panel to the bottom side of steering wheel. It may inspire you to look elsewhere behind items. Good Luck.
"The interior fuse panel is located behind the coin holder pull out drawer, which is on the lower left side of the dashboard"
is it on each door or only one door?
- only 1 door look like it's the switch of the door the trouble
-if it's all doorsyour light can be burn or you switch control can be off!! check where is you interior light you have a little switch with 3 positions OFF, AUTOMATIC AND ON! PLAY WITH AND SEE IF YOUR LIGHT TURN ON! put it in the middle the get full acces!
and on your Dashboard ( on the left side of the steering) you suppose the get a dimmer setting for you Dashboard lights and it control the interior lights too. if you put it too far from the right side you put the interior lights off and your Dashboard lights will be at full range! do the test!
There is a light control module under the dashboard near the radio. It provides interior lighting delay and automatic interior light function. When this module fails, the back lights and key lights will remain on.
The fuse box of the 2006 Hyundai Sonata is under the dashboard, to check the fuse box firstly, you open the dashboard from driver side. For more clarification, I have attached the video which will guide you to the fuse box location in Hyundai Sonata, have a look
for that problem you will have to take it to the dealer the body control module stores codes that will aid in diagnosing the problem. one of the more common problems, a software issue. the body computer may need to be reflashed to the latest software level to correct.
