Hi I have a 1995 Eagle Talon ESI non turbo. The car was running one day and the next it wouldn't start. I was able to get a trouble code of 12 ( Air Flow Sensor) and 55 (Idle Air Control Valve?Servo Valve Postion Seensor (IAC)) I recently had it in the deals for the Engine Light beeing on. They replaced the Ignition Coil, Plugs and wires. This time the engine light doesn't even come on, Turns over but will not start...
Check the mass air flow sensor, if this is bad then the ecu wont get a signal and it wont send the right amount of fuel to the cylinders causing a no start condition
Check the wires going to the cam and coil and crank sensors i replace all and found out when i pulled the wiring harness apart that i had a broke wire going to the crank sensor the orange wire on the crank should have 5 volts to it when the key is in the on position if not it is either the cam sensor or the ecu
or the coil pack its self that is what caused my 95 talon esi to die and lose all spark and injector pulse and fuel pump alos check the asd relay automatic shut down relay it will cut the power to the coil and fuel pump its located by the driverside firewall by the master cylinder there will b 2 relays the one closest to the driverside is the asd relay and the one beside it is the fuel pump relay these may or may not be the problem but i know this is where all my problems have been

did you get the codes by doing the "key dance"(on,off,on,off,on) ?
if so, it almost always flashes a 12 and 55. here is what they mean.
12 - direct power input to the PCM has been disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles
55 - End of error messages

I have the same problem. I have an eagle talon esi 95. One day I went to work and when I was in the avenue waiting the green light the car turn off and the check engine light doesnt turn on, can some one help me?
I have a 1995 Eagle Talon the car has a problem of just turning off like you just reached down and turned the ignition off. Sometimes you will get a quick flash and a blink off dash board lights before it happends and sometimes it just turns off. No sputtering or knocking no loss of horse power. I have replace the cam sensor and crank position sensor.(not cheap).
yep. my esi does the same things. will start up if you stomp the gas hard while turning the key. idles @1.1 for about five min then starts to cut down while chugging. finally engine kills with a backfire out the intake, replaced the TPS sensor and its still doing it
i have the same problem car will only start and run when it wants to but when it does it smokes and once you shut it off some times it will shut off and start back up others it will turn ovwer not run
check the crank sensor wires and the cam sensor wires and coilpace wires there may be one thats broke or grounded out you probly have to pull the conduit off the wires to see them
