4 answers · Top answer: In order to reset the anti theft system on Your 2007 Chevy Malibu You'll first need to put the key in the ignition and move it in to the on position. ...
The clicking sound you're hearing from the back of your 2007 Chevy Malibu could be due to a few different things. Here are a few possibilities:
Dead battery: If the battery is dead or weak, you might hear a clicking sound when you try to start the engine. You can check the battery by trying to jump-start the car or by using a voltmeter to measure the voltage.
Starter issue: If the clicking sound is coming from the starter, it could mean the starter solenoid is failing or the starter motor is damaged. A faulty starter can cause a clicking sound but no engine cranking.
Relay issue: A relay is an electrical component that switches power to various systems in the vehicle. If a relay is faulty, you might hear a clicking sound when you turn the key, but no lights will come on.
Alternator issue: If the alternator is failing, it may cause the battery to drain, which can lead to a clicking sound but no engine cranking.
If you're unable to diagnose the issue yourself, I recommend having a professional mechanic take a look. They can perform a thorough inspection to determine the cause of the problem and make the necessary repairs
probably where the remote start wire was taped into the starter wire got broken and now the key side isn't attached to starter anymore. Id check the starter relay and fuse before anything

Did you Take the radio out of the car. Sounds like you pulled the theft wire apart that goes to the
ignition switch. If this happens the starter and the fuel are disabled preventing the car from starting.
If everything looks ok I suggest calling a radio tech guy or pull the radio out to take in for repair.
I know these radio's are sensitve and have theft lock in them also.
Hello Vicky... Your Malibu has what is known as a parasitic drain...It could be a stuck relay, trunk light staying on, or a direct short circuit.Something in the electrical circuit is not turning off when then ignition switch is turned off.. You will need to perform a parasitic draw test to determine the cause and correct the problem to keep the battery from draining,
yes there is a antitheft lamp in the dash
