SOURCE: 2000 cherokee sport blower motor control

It is a bad blower motor resistor and it is mounted on the bottom of the A/C heater housing on the passenger side of the vehicle under the glovebox area. Hope this helps. Please rate this a fixya if it helps. Thanks.

SOURCE: 1997 Jeep Cherokee - Blower motor stopped working.

Check the relevant fuses with a test-light or VOM, don't just "eyeball" them as they often break at the very end. Then check the heater/A/C relays on the electrical panel. The heat/cool is controlled by a stepper motor which opens and closes the air "mixing box", but it won't work with a bad relay. If all of those check-out, you need a OBDII code reader to check the "engine" computer, as it controls the electrical modules. Also check the fusable links going to the electrical panel, and the cable from the battery to the panel. The cable may be corroded in-two and you'll never see it, so no juice to the panel, no juice to the heat/AC system. (I had a Dakota do that.) PS: Double check the grounds that they aren't corroded. Learned about that from a BSA Gold Star production racer.....

Testimonial: "Many thanks, Walker. Tt was the fuse in the kick panel. Looked ok, but NO continuity. I used the 10A spare and everything worked. Thanks!"

SOURCE: blower moter resister is not working ...wheere is

It is on the passenger side under the dash, remove the panel under the dash and you will see it right near the blower motor in the same housing, the screws are 8mm.

Isuzu 1999 frontier blower not switching on

First locate the blower motor. Tap it with a hammer. If it starts working, it has bad brushes and should be replaced. If it does not blow, then check the wire feeding the motor to see if it has voltage. If no voltage, check fuses, if fuses are ok, check blower switch connections.

Front blower will not turn on -- everything else works.

What voltage checks have you done? It doesn't leave much other than the wiring and I assume you have checked there's a power feed from the fuse which you will have checked? A corroded connector seems likely. Check continuity and voltages through the wiring, and look very carefully at the connectors near the blower for heat damage or corrosion as that's the most likely point of failure

So you're getting heat but no blower to circulate the heat, right? It's also possible the fuze is blown to the blower motor, the switch that adjusts the speed of the motor could be damaged, or its resistors that limit voltage, to control speed could be "open" (burned up). I would check many of those before replacing the fan..

The heat is controlled by a valve that allows water to circulate through the heater core. If the fan is blowing cold air, check the valve, or blow water back and forth through the heater core to clean it out.

How can i tell if my blower is bad or the fan switch

start with the fuses first, replace if bad, should be at least a 20 amp fuse(or circuit breaker)then look at the blower under the dash and check /inspect it.most blowers have a hot wire and a ground wire connected to them look at both check for power either with a light or a meter to read battery voltage and check the ground for good connection..if in doubt pull the blower out and test separately with a battery charger..theres also a coil type speed control (resistor wire) thats usually mounted in the system that can burn out..see if it is ok also..it controls the speed of the blower motor..then concentrate on the switch..these dont normally burn out unless the motor jams up by debris getting into the ducts by way of the defroster vents..good luck..

Ok, my blower was not working at all. It used to work on the 2 and 3 setting. I replaced the resistor nothing. Took out blower and hooked it up to 12 volts it came on. So I went and bought a new control...

the blower motor is going. It's drawing too much current and taking out the resistor pack. It has a thermal limiter that melts when the resister gets too hot. Repalce motor and resistor.

HEATER FAN BLOWER DOES NOT WORK

Blower moter on heater does not work

Aside from the obvious fuse or relay in power supply, it could be the blower switch, resistor pack usually located in heater box that contols speed, or the blower motor itself. Unplug wires to blower and measure batt. voltage with switch on. If voltage present, use ohmmeter to test blower resistance. No resistance, motor burned out. Check wiring for a cut/brake in circuit.

What will make a blower in a car only work on high 0n a 1996 sunfire

Could be two things. Heater control..or heater switch. Or the moter is not recieving the reostat info from control. Check at heater wher wires go into it..as you change positions of switch you should see a voltage drop or increase, if u do then the moter is bad...if u do not then replace the heater control unit. :)
