Jump the >A+ B terminals and Watch Check Engine Light, it Will Flash Codes, First One will be Code 12 1 Flash> Pause then 2 Flashes. and if there are Not Any it will Keep Flashing Code 12. < Code 12 is a Confermation Code that Shows #1 that you are IN ECM CODE READ MODE, and It Also Conferms the "END" of Read Session.

I have switched out the speed sensor in my 03 vibe and still getting the hesitation and no power what could be causing this ?

Have you had it checked for diagnostic trouble code's ? Why would you change a sensor without checking code's am viewing sensor data parameters on a professional scan tool ? If you don't know what i'm talking about ,your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop.

How to access trouble code

year vehicle manufactured? if 1996 & later, OBDII scanner to be plugged into a port (typically, should be near the steering column, under the dash).
older models may have OBDI (no standard location of port) scanner specific to the make of the vehicle. search the web, on how to read manually (or without scanner) the code by counting the number of blinks of the MIL (malfunction Indicator light) (aka check engine, or service engine soon).

Truck would not start had a obd code 340 changed cps started good for 2 wks then it showed a 340 code would not start.

When you get OBD Codes-- you do not change parts

You use the codes & trouble charts-- to component test--
the system-- that set the fault code,to find a problem

If you found no problem, or no tested & failed part, why
change it?

Without factory service & diagnostic manuals & professional
scan tool software & wiring diagrams, your at the mercy of
a repair shop, because you do not have the info or knowledge
needed, to work on a vehicle

I to know if there is a way to get a code without a diagnostic machine?

Not if your vehicle is newer than 1996, for an OBD II system you have to access the ECU with a scan tool.

How do I manually retrieve a trouble code without scan tool for a 1997 Plymouth Voyager

Try this Turn the key on ( don not try to start), turn the key off, turn the key on, turn the key off, turn the key on and leave it on. If the check engine light starts to flash start counting the number of flashes. Those will be the codes. For about $50 you can by a code reader which will give you OBDII codes which may make it easier to figure out the problem. Post the codes and we'll see what we can figure out. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

Check Engine Light Reset

I don't subcribe to this idea personally but disconnecting the battery on that truck (negative cable) will clear the codes. There is no method for this vehicle (like the old GM's) to get the code meanings or #'s without at least a hand scanner. You can pick one up fairly inexpensively
