Disabling the light doesn't fix the problem, you should have this diagnosed by connecting a diagnostic code reader that can communicate with the traction control system, then go from there.
diagnostic reader and or workshop time required to
to fix both VSC and engine light faults /codes
VSC is brake /traction related ..... this is one explanation
It would appear that system braking, traction control, and possibly some anti rollover control is dis abled if this warning light is on. So it is both fuel in efficient and possibly dangerous to drive with this light on.
engine light
there are stored fault codes in the engine computer module pointing to faulty sensors on the car needing to be checked or replaced
Your truck is in limp mode because your fuel mixture sensor is bad, I think that toyota has put this part back under warranty because of so many problems
The key of your problem is to know what is the check engine light, there is several codes that send the computer to safe mode diminishing engine output, vsc and track off come with the check engine light.
Whenever the check engine light comes on the VSC and Traction control will disable because they need the engine at 100% in order to function correctly. Since the ABS light is on I would have to wonder if it isn't an abs problem. Since the VSC and Traction control use the ABS sensors/system to function.
Or there is a problem with both the engine and the ABS.
The only way to know for sure is to have the PCM scanned and the ABS module to see what is goind on.
there are literally hundreds of codes that would turn on the check engine light. the track off and vsc lights come on together, indicating a problem with the traction control system. again, many different items will turn these lights on. the only way to narrow it down is to hook it up to an OBD-II diagnostic tool and find out all the codes that are listed. if you don't have one, take it to a shop
