Subaru Forester 2001. Parking lights stay on when car is turned off. Lights go off only when fuse removed. Light switch on steering column was changed to no effect. Separately, AC, fan and heater have stopped working. First, for a couple days they were working sporadically. During these few days the clock, which hadn't worked for 9 years, came on briefly at times. Now AC, fan, heater and clock don't work at all. All fuses seem OK.

2008 Subaru Forester. The parking lights and rear tail lights stay on after I turn off the key?

Faulty switch, or you have a Body control Module communication issue. You need an auto-electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer to check live data and communication between all the systems.

Or it is the Parking Light secret switch!!

Did you check the switch on top of the steering column? It will turn on your parking lamps separately from the headlamp switch, and it is in the customary position for a hazard flasher switch on Japanese cars - maybe someone bumped it by accident or turned it on when trying to get the 4-way flashers to work.

Running light go out but parking lights remain on in 2001 corolla

My '00 Subaru has a separate switch on the steering column for the parking lights, I never use it, but the lights will stay on with the key off. Look for a separate switch. If you find one ask the dealer for your $ back

2004 Subaru Forester

If the '04 has the same setup as the '00, then there should be a switch on the top of the steering column that will turn the parking lights on or off even if the key is removed. Hope this helps.

Tail lights

There is a switch on top of the steering column that switches the parking light facility on and off. Check that this switch is not in the on position . If it is on then your side lights will stay on even if you turn the lights off.

2007 Forester Parking Lights

I read my owner's manual in a more deliberative manner and found that there is a Parking Light switch on the steering wheel column that I had never seen before. Apparently, when I was cleaning my care, I inadvertently flicked that switch. Good thing I didn't go to the auto repair shop and ask for them to fix it! :)
