My lexus IS 300 model 2007 the touch screen is not working when i press on "I agree" button it is not working all the touch buttons are not working i have tried replace the battery after this issue happened but still have the same problem...

You will need to remove the clock and have it repaired.

It's just the annoying light because you are due for service soon. Lexus programs all of their cars to "tell you" when service is due. To turn it off, hold down the odometer reset button and press the start engine button WITHOUT your foot on the brake. Keep holding the odometer button for about 5 seconds until you see the mileage flash. Then it will go off.

dear did you found any solution. because i have also IS300 2008 and everything was working fine but after cleaning the car in cleaning station (full cleaning with polish for exterior and interior) now touch screen not working at all, only side buttons, sometimes when i press the side navigation button and i touch the screen it will move the map only down but for climate and other setting no response at all..

if you do not have navigation system.

1. Turn the engine switch OFF..
2. While pressing the trip meter reset button, set the engine switch to IG-ON mode. Continue to press and hold the knob until the trip meter displays 000000.

if you have navigation.

1. Push the "INFO" button
2. Touch "Maintenance".
3. Touch the desired button Delete All : To cancel all conditions which have been input. Reset All : To reset the item which has satisfied a condition. If "ON" is selected, the system gives maintenance information with the "Information" screen when the system is turned on. If "OFF" is selected, the "Information" screen is disabled.
4. Input the conditions. Notice of Date : The next maintenance date can be input. Notice of Distance : The driving distance until the next maintenance check can be input. "Delete" : To cancel the date and distance conditions. "Reset" : To reset the date and distance conditions.
5. Touch "OK" The screen returns to the "Maintenance screen.

Make sure you have a fresh battery in the garage remote. Drive away about a block and park. Press the two outer buttons on the IS for about 20 seconds , they will flash 10-15 seconds and then go out,erasing any old codes in the car.
Then select a button position, 1-2-or3 on the car for your garage function. Hold your garage remote to the car's button pad and depress the garage remote button and the cars button (1-2 or3)continually. The LED in the cars touch pad will flash slow, then fast then go out. Once these steps are completed the car and your hand held are syncronized...thh car has recieved the remote function. That is step 1 for all vehicles.

Now you need to return to the garage and "introduce" your car to the garage door opener's receiver. Depending on the brand there will be a "learn" button on the garage door opener. You will climb a ladder and push the learn button as per instructions in the opener manual or on the stickers on the opener motor itself, if it is a Chamberlain, Liftmaster or Craftsman....
These buttons will be pressed to erase old opener codes or program to add new devices...which is what your car is.
Each opener has its own series of functions but generally after initial set up of the ceiling unit, you will depress the learn button and hold for several seconds. Then within 30 seconds , you will depress the cars button for about 2 seconds and release, the lights will flash on the ceiling unit in the garage indicating success and the next time you press the cars button the system works.

Your car is most likely under warranty so take it to the dealer and they will fix it for free.

I have the exact same problem. I was told by Lexus that there is no repair and the entire unit would need to be replaced for $2400 !!!!

Has anyone found a fix or alternate solution yet?

the lexus es 300 has a button on the shifter. when accidentally pressed, will turn the o/d off. simply press the button on the gear shift.

I have a related problem with a 2007 RX350. I was told by the dealer no less that there is a way fo disableing the power on prompt that asks you to agree not to use the GPS while driving. Its really annoying to have to press this each time you sart the car. I am worried that in the long run that this will lead to a failure of the touch screen. Any body know what the secret handshake is? I can be reached on hotmail if that helps. Fred0723
