    my cigarette lighter is not workng in my 2006 bmw 300i. i found a glass cylinder fuse lying under the dash on the floor but when i removed the fuse panel there were no glass cylinder fuses (all metal prong/plastic push in type) -- is this a coincidence? and et why won't my cigarette lighter work now? please help!

Look at the fuse layout for one that looks like + ---> -; that's the one for the cigarette lighter. On my 535 it's fuse # 87, a 20 amp fuse.

If you take the panel off the dash board. there is a plug that goes into the back of the cig lighter. maybe the back came loss.

Fuse for the cigarette lighter in Infinity FX35
is the only thing not working the cigarette lighter? the fuse that operates it is usually the accessories fuse, it normally operates the interior light as well, which fuse box have you checked,there is most likely one under the bonnet & there also may be one under the dash as well, it might well be that the cigarette lighter element is the problem,try another lighter....hope this helps....cheers
