After replacing the lambda sensors (oxy sensors) and the katalysator. on a chrysler pacifica 2005 fault has been cleared by the chrysler dealer and another shop and by disconecting the battery for 30 min. Still no luck the P0420 error remains

2014 Kia Sorento LX is running a bit rough, exhaust is smelly and error codes

no country of VIN told , no engine told. guess at V6 I will, 3.3L
that o2 heater is dead. or the 4wires to the oxy sensor are burned up on the exh. pipe. toss coin or better just look at it.
sensor #2 is behind the CAT. and is bad.
you posted no engine told at all, and is a 100% engine question.
S1 is always front of CAT, S2 is rear.
upstream or down stream, (S1 /S2 order)
B1 bank 1 means that bank that has cylinder #1 there.
on the 4 banger #1 is front of engine a belt drive end.
on a V6 , the #1 cylinder is most front (it's off set to bank2)
3.3L back bank row is B1. (drivers end)
so bank1 s2 is that exhaust manifold rear that goes to cat #1 and the rear of cat 1 is B1, sensor S2 rear of cat.
the heater circuit side never lies,it means the voltage or current flow to that heater is dead wrong. open/ or shorted heater or its wires to it.

Chevy cobalt 2009 p420 continues to come back on within 60 miles befor computer resets after clearing code.

no country stated, and My guess did not buy the full walker front dual cat pipe or a new B1S2 sensor firs.

so no other DTC errors.??????
the p420 is the cat test but the Two Oxygen 02 sensor front and rear of the cat must be good. or p420 lies. ( the ECU likes your front B1S1 sensor but is S2 , replaced?

and no other DTC errors, like P03xx codes, of any kind.
or fueling codes.DTC.
that is correct exhaust leaks there, do cause 02 sensor to lie. as in read wrong even good ones.
use a real scan tool not some $20 code reader only


and see all chevy factory codes P1xxx , P2xxx and up.
never use cheap tools that only see P0xxx federal codes only.
they are no good.


using any real tool , check live DTC,
and stored DTC and check
all PENDING DTC
and let all MONITORS run out first, for sure all 02 tests .(all)
and do 3 driving cycles so you see them ALL..
(answers are USA spec cars, OBD2) and only real scan tools.

simple answer is bad CAT, but why not have real shop test the cat first. they have the tools , a real ASE shop, I PROMISE YOU.
one is the thermal test. (IR gun test) (ok done and looks ok)
and 2nd is 4gas tester to see if ,input gasses and output are correct at CAT>
a $3000 tool on up.

4 gas analyzer measures Carbon Monoxide (CO), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Fuel Dependent Hydro Carbons (HC), and Oxygen (O2)<< a real shop does this to not guess what is wrong.
input and outputs checked, end to end.

I have 99 bmw 323i.i ran it hot and got prob fixed and now the eml and a triangle with circle around it comes on dash and car has no power.feels like it has a rev limiter.wats wrong with my car

have throttle body checked also the MDK throttle motor,
make sure that the dealer has followed service bulletin 12 07 99 for procedure to replace the MDK throttle motor
also have them check for codes,here are some codes,
it could be an expensive job,have them check everything,it is most likely the throttle motor,,throttle body is 600 if they switch it,dont let them do it without checking throttle motor,

What is code po153b for stype jaguar 2002

the code po153 is oxy/lambda sensor slow response. and the b i think relates to bank b that is left hand as you sit in car, there are 2 sensors on each bank. you should really have it put on suitable diagnostic equipment to monitor live data to help sort it out, it could be either sensor or the catalyst. and the parts are expensive so you should not get the diagnosis wrong. i guess you engine light is on. good luck.

Lambda oxy sensor def. Will Denso work

Yes, the Denso Mfr #: 234-4209 O2 sensor is a universal 4 wire pre cat sensor that will work in your vehicle. Bosch also makes an exact fit sensor, #15606 for the upstream & 15607 for downstream.

have you tried clearing the fault with the reader ,if not it will still show in memory so you have cured it but the fault is still in the memory

Check eng light came,codes P0106,P0172,P2188.Where is the oxy sensor located

hi, the oxygen sensor or lambda sensor for its proper name is located in the exhaust it will either be before or just after the catalitic converter it will have two wires going to it and its just bolted into the exhaust downpipe and the wire connects to the wiring harness near the engine itself, the sensor itself is not cheap to buy but you can replace it yourself make sure you check the exhaust for damage leading up to the sensor as any damage to the exhaust such as a whole in exhaust can cause the sensor fault you have been getting if their is no fault with the exhaust then change the sensor and this should then solve your problem.
