A lean bank 1 and 2 is indicating there is not enough fuel being injected to support proper combustion.
Leading causes can include but are not limited to......
1) low fuel pressure or plugged fuel filter.
2) vacuum leak causing lean condition.
3) air intake hose or crank case not sealed properly and bypassing the MAF sensor or the MAF sensor element is dirty.
4) wrong fuel or poor quality fuel used.
Hope this helps. If the Service Engine Soon light is illuminated, there will be fault codes associated the light. Get the vehicle scanned for free at your local Auto Zone or Advanced Auto and report back.

If all I stated in my original solution has been checked and there conclusion was a tune up and a mass air flow sensor replacement, then it is possible that may take care of the problem.
    Good luck.

What does code p1131 mean on a 2001 ford taurus

bank 1 sensor 1 lean code. Check vacuum lines first. Could be egr leak also. Most vacuum lines run on the back side of the engine on these. Most common fail is the PCV 90 degree elbow. On the passenger side.

What does it mean when it said to lean bank 1

It means that one side of the engine cylinders are running too lean of a fuel mixture Bank one is the left side of the engine. Put a fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank first. Once it has had time to do its work, test again. If it's still lean, then look at the injectors and the control module for a fix.

What does code system to lean bank 1 mean on my 2000 lexus rx300

It could be caused by many things, but generally it means that your engine is running too lean - usually indicating a vacuum leak. It could also be that the O2 sensor is bad and giving a false reading.

97 ford expedition has a code 171 and 174 bank 1 and 2 lean what do i do to fix this

Code 171 and 174 are for bank 1 and 2 running too lean. The engine has compensated as rich as it can go, and it is still to lean. This does not necessarily mean your mixture is bad, but something (a sensor) is telling the ECM to correct lean. The oxygen sensors alert the ECM to how lean/rich the exhaust is, and then the ECM trips a code. Maybe you have a bad oxy. sensor, but since there are 4 of them (2 per bank), I don't think they could all go at once.

The code reads lean condition bank 2 it is a 6 cylinder what does that mean

This means cylinders 4 5 6 are running too lean and can be caused by a faulty co2 lambda sensor. Bank 1 are cylinders 1 2 3

Because you have a V engine the pistons are angled, More commonly known as a Bank, Now Bank 2 lean would mean that the righthand side as you look at the engine will be Bank 2, Lean means that bank is running rich, using more fuel
