Why is my clock going on and off on my 06 corrolla s

Old father time has caught up with the clock and its failed with age by the sound of it.like me and my memory

Look on the lower end of the radiator going toward the engine on the passenger side. You should see a petcock, which is a drain valve. Put a container under it and turn it counter clock-wise.

Ther is no fuel door light in a 06 Corolla.
What you see on the dashboard is an arrow to indicate fuel door is on the drivers side. Of course once you fill up the first time you know which side it is on. Very handy if you rent a corrolla.

This sounds like you did all the correct checksand that the clock is bad and is time to replace it, thelcd screen sounds like its bad, i would go to a junk yard and just get another one and pop it in , good day.

the car has at least 3 "entertainment" packages, which go with the interior level of the car. look in your manual and figure out which package radio and clock your car came with, then repost your question telling us which package your car has and then we will know which set of instructions you need to set your clock. But wait, while you are figuring out which system you have, the instructions to set the clock will be right there and you can do it yourself. Eureka moment.

If you are referring to a P-2716 code, no, they will not replace the PCS; what you need is a new computer.

It will be replaced for free, if your car has less than 80K miles on it. That is the mileage limitation.

The PCS is not the issue, the programming is the issue, but, the computer in your car cannot be 'reflashed'; Toyota will replace it.

In short, replacing the PCS will not rectify your issue. Again, it is a software issue, not a mechanical issue.

if that is all you have to do is: use a pointed pen to press the hour, then the minute. Better still simply press the 'set' button before you adjust the clock.

sounds like one of two things first is to check condition of all drive belts if they are all good dont let the miles fool you if the car has been driven a bit harder or had alot of uphill driving these reduce clutch wear enormously

Prizms and Corollas are the same car, basically. If it will plug in and run the engine OK, I say go for it.
