How do i reset the change oil light after the oil and filter has been changed on my 1998 cadillac deville?

Try this procedure;

1. Turn the ignition key to the "On" position, but do not start the engine.

2. Press the "INFO" button until "ENGINE OIL LIFE" is displayed.

3. Then press and hold the "INFO RESET" button until "100" is displayed.

4. Turn the ignition key to the "Off" position.

5. Start the vehicle and confirm that the oil life has been re-set.
