Make sure there are no siezed pulleys on any of the other components. If you've already replaced the tensioner pulley, try turning the other pulleys by hand to make sure they're free before putting the belt back on. The AC pump is notorious for locking up, especially if there isn't any refridgerant in the system. Also, check for any wobbling of the pulleys while turning them by hand. Make sure your alternator is tightly mounted as well.

2000 grand Prix how to fix belt when it comes off

If it a serpintine belt (meaning one belt runs everything) and it comes off on its own its time for a new belt to install new or reinstall old one . All cars have abelt routing diagram if not google your car and year asking for belt diagram. Locate tensioner usually turns with wrench ( socket or box end is best) route the belt according to dia. leave tensioner for last rotate pully with wrench to get belt over release tension on wrench thats all there is to it. But if belt keeps coming off usually indicates new belt is needed could also need tensioner pully its a good idea to replace both at the same time

2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT (non supercharged) is making a horrible squeeling noise coming from where the serpentine belt is. The belt has been replaced along with the tensioner pulley and brakes. I...

These vehicles are known to have power steering issues. They use up fluid and at about a 100k or so the pulley itself can "sheer" right off. I would check your power steering fluid level and go from there.
Thank you,

Is it easy to install serpentine belt on 2003 grand prix?

Yes - fairly easy..

First - study and WRITE DOWN the belt path... Draw it.. What ever it takes.. Once its off - it can be confusing to remember..

Then - on the tension pulley there is a bolt in the center.. Put a closed end wrench on it it and push real hard in the direction that would relive tension on belt (usulaly downward).. It will slide right off..

Get the new one in place of correct path and push the tension pulley again to get belt on all the way and release tension pulley and it will be tight..

Note; The tension pulley is spring loaded and keeps the belt tight..

Have a great day !
