the red warning light comes on when there is low charging voltage test for charging voltage between the alternator and battery should be roughly 14 volts

Toyota 4runner 84-87 dash lights come on battery water tap oil temp AT all lights are red my daughter says she took to local mechanic he said lights didnt come on when he had it lights only on...

You may want to get the alternator checked. I have a couple of these vehicles and when a alternator is going out or theres another voltage problems you will get some strange happenings with the dash lights etc.. They will also drop out the high beam side of the headlights in low voltage situations. Loose brushes in the alternators will cause this, as I have found in a couple of aftermarket units.

I have a 1979 Chevy Van 30 Class C motorhome. I was making a 150 mile trip. I was informed of a coolant that had spilt out of it after a friend had changed a fan belt for me. I made it about half way...

im not laughing at you but this is kinda fund the belt that turn the fan to cool the engine also runs the alternator id bet money that yure guy didnt tighten the alternator and the belt came loose coolant coming from overflow becouse there isnt a fun runing and it got hot battery drained because no belt on alternator easy fix new belt and get that alternator tight good luck

The brake and battery light came on? I changed battery and the lights didnt go off?

Battery light usually indicates alternator failure. Check alternator.
Brake light indicates brake issue. Brakes must be inspected for leaks, check reservoir fluid level, etc.

I noticed my truck didnt want to start like it had a weak battery. I drove it anyway and first my abs light came on, then I started losing all my accessories like radio power windows, etc. I got towed home...

All of you accessories can't run from the battery. The alternator has to produce 13-14 volts to you battery to keep the battery charged fully so all the accessories will work. Soon as a power source is powered on it will drain the battery quickly if the alternator isn't putting out. I would change the alternator. Honestly, If you have a shop close by that rebuilds alternators, this is the way I would go. Here in my home town, a rebuilt is $95 as a rebuilt from auto zone is $140-170 and comes with the same warranty. I use a rebuild shop for all alternators and starters. Cheaper and have never had to take one back compared to auto stores.

BATTREY LIGHT -MESSAGE CENTER

It is possible that the alternator failed and took out the battery. while the vehicle is running disconnect the negative battery cable if the engine dies the alternator is bad.
