Citroen C15 Diesel Van.

PLEASE NOTE THIS VAN IS A CITROEN C15 VAN 2000....Hi, having problems starting my van. Engine turns over when ignition is by-passed by using a wire to connect. Have no panel lights, indicators, wipers or brake lights, but headlights & horn work. When trying to start with key, it doesn't even turn the engine. Fuses all look fine & can't see any obvious bad/broken connections.Please help!.

It definitely sounds like the electrical part of your ignition isn't working properly.When you turn the key, the lck and tumbler turns on the ign. switch in which sends power to the rest of the car.

With ignition key off .. Hold right button down (2 buttons within the instrument cluster) Turn on ignition.. but not engine.. Watch for countdown till zero.. Release button.. All done.

The Citroen Berlingo is produced by the PSA Peugeot Citroen alliance since 1996. So in 1986 it would be C15, not Berlingo.

Citroen relay van 2.0L HDI
Have a load test done on the battery as the glo-plugs should get very hot very quickly. Diesel engines have to have a high rpm crank speed or they will not start and will leave unburnt fuel in the cylinders ( wet glo- plugs). Every indication is that the battery is flat or is not the right capacity for the car.

Citroen C15 Diesel Van (1769cc - S reg) turns over but doesnt start. then battery dies! -Van has started yesterday via jump start then today same problem not starting!! -Glow plugs ok and electrics to glow...
sounds like problem i had, the head needs to come off and needs reshimming, I bought one like this, £100 later , It was sorted, I got a bargain cos the van sales bloke didn't know what the problem was and just wanted rid. 50k later still going strong.

The taillights on most vans are accessed from the storage compartments in the back of the van on each side. You open the cover, and sometimes you have to remove a liner, depending on the vehicle, and you can then access the back of the taillight.
