89 f350 stops feeding gas on hot days

I have an 89 Ford F-350 that stops feeding gas to the engine on hot days.  The truck is a 5-speed manual, 7.5L V8 with about 150k on the engine.  The first time it happened was a few months ago when we had unusually warm weather for the time (live in Yuma, so 100+ is normal).  Driving down the highway the engine would tug back from time to time as if fuel wasn't being fed properly.  If I had to stop, it would be difficult to get it going again, and sometimes would stall.  Any thoughts?

Sounds like vapor lock. A trick for this is get a few WOOD clothes pins. Attach clothes pins to the metal lines under the truck in various locations. The wooden clothes pins are now acting as a heat sink. They help draw the heat away from the fuel system. Pick up another fuel cap, preferably a vented cap to help release the extra pressure caused by the heat.
