The most common problems and easiest to detect are
blocked fuel line (unlikely)
blocked fuel filter (probable)
fuel pump not working (probable)
To check the fuel pump you will need to disconnect the fuel line from the motor and turn the ignition on for a brief period to see if any fuel comes out (get some one to help turn the ignition on as you watch the fuel line). If no fuel comes out check the fuses.
If the fuses are fine you may need a new fuel pump.
fuel filters are not expensive and should be replaced regularly
Good luck i hope this helps.

Hard to start fuel pump has been checked

Need much more information about the car, age, care it has had. Only 4 things cause hard start. Lack of Air coming into the intake, Lack of Fuel, Lack of spark, Lack of torque from the starter. Assuming the starter is good & battery, and fuel is there, i would check the spark plugs, and spark output. If it has a lot of miles check the Air Filter. The injectors could also be clogged. I always dump 2 bottles of injector cleaner in the tank every 2 months. If you have never done this i would go for 3 bottles. Again the spark cannot be weak, fuel pressure cannot be low, or have restrictions like dirty a fuel filter, or dirty fuel injectors or even bad Gas. And last a computer problem providing incorrect timing to the Injectors or Spark Plugs.

2003 ford Taurus been sitting up try to start just spins over want start

Crank but no start is either no spark or no fuel to engine.
Best way to narrow it down is to just spray a 1 second dose of starting fluid into the air intake before you try to start it. If it does start then die it is lack of fuel or bad fuel to engine. In all the modern EFI cars the most likely faults on fuel failure with fuel in car are:
1. fuel pump failure.
2. fuel pump relay
3. fuel filter plug

If it fails to fire on the starting fluid it is lack of spark, and the trouble shooting procedure will be to investigate the coil pack.

Why wont my 2011 jeep grand cherokee wont start

Okay, the possibilities are great. need to narrow it down a little.
If it fails to crank over it is likely the battery.
If it cranks over ok, but fails to start it is either lack of fuel or lack of spark.
the Quickest way to identify lack of fuel or lack of spark is to spray in a 2 second dose of starting fluid into the air intake. If it fires up then dies in this test it is lack of fuel most common suspect is fuel pump relay or fuel pump.
If it fails to fire up on the starting fluid test it is lack of spark. Electronic ignition trouble shoot procedure from your shop manual for your VIN number will be required.

2000 dodge ram 1500 cranks but wont start

Usually 2 things will cause an engine not to start. One it is not getting enough fuel. Check to see if the fuel filter is clogged. A bad fuel pump could cause a lack of fuel supply. Second item is lack of spark.

MY 1989 FORD BRONCO WILL START UP RUN FOR ABOUT 15 MIN THEN IT DIES IF YOU WAIT ABOUT A HOUR IT WILL START BACK BUT DOSE THE SAME THING

Have you figured out if you are lacking fuel or spark when it fails to start back up ? Lack of fuel could be a pump relay, lack of spark could be the ignition module or the EEC relay.

2000 expedition will not start.

Three fundamental things can happen: a bad fuel mix, lack of compression or lack of spark. Also check your starter or alternator.

Losuing over drive lack of power hard starting must hold pedal to the floor

Does it start better after sitting overnight? Is it missing at all? Check engine light? Hard starting could be fuel pump, also lack of power could be lack of fuel. If it starts better after sitting overnight, could be block catalytic converter. That would also explain lack of power. If you have to hold gas pedal half way down trying to get speed would explain why it is not going into overdrive. Hope this gives you some direction.

Engine shut down during driving and wont restart

Three things cause an engine not to start. Lack of fuel, Lack of spark ( ignition ) and lack of compression. If you spray a little starting fluid into the aircleaner and it starts and theen quits, then you know it is a fuel problem if it won't start on starting fluid then it may be electrical. I am assuming the compression is good. If it was not then your engine would sound like a sewing machine when turning over. If it is electrical, there are quite a number of culprits, if it is fuel related suspect the pump or the power supply to the pump.

My 2005 dodge ram starts but lacks power then when i turn off and start again it just dies

Look for the fuel pump or fuel filter to cause the problem. The lacking power and the engine dieing after starting is caused from lack of correct fuel pressure. Hope this will help you.

My gfs 1999 blazer starts up, revs very high then shuts down. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a possible lack of fuel problem. Remove air intake hose from front of throttle body, then try spraying (carefully ) a little WD-40 into front of throttle body when it starts just to see if it will keep it running a little longer. If it does, your lacking proper fuel supply. Do you hear pump cycle (hum) when you turn the key to on position? I guess a good place to start if it is lack of fuel would be to change fuel filter. If it turns out to be something worse like pump, your going to want that filter changed anyway.
Let me know what you find.
