I have a similar problem, whoever it seems worse when I am acclerating uphill compared to flat or downhill. The moment I left off the gas is seems to disappear as well.
Any ideas???
I have the same issue - but notice its worse when you accelerate hard in 5th. I have changed all the ball joints, bearings and track rod ends but its still there. From trawling the various forums I'm starting to think I need to change the suspension arms and top strut bushes. 100K
I had the same problem. Vibrations start around 40mph, up through 60 . seems to be ok when I am off the accelerator. The problem was not dirty ETM rather a busted passenger side cv boot and axle. Fixed it and the problem is gone. The part from Volvo its expensive. Over $500. But OEM part can be had for less than $200. I have a 2003 s60 T5.
Have a tire shop check the rims and see if they could be warped. All four rims on my S40 were very difficult to balance because of this.

My 2003 Volvo is doing the same thing. I first had the tires balanced and a four wheel alignment. This did not correct the problem. The knowing that the tires where getting on the old side and two mechanics pointing to a tire issue I had the tires replaced. It is still vibrating. Also the speeds that you talk about are exact. How many miles do you have on your car. 120K?

I have 92K on my S60. The tires are new. I had front and rear alignment- bushings replaced. All done by Volvo except the tires. They said the problem is faulty tires. I don't believe it's the tires. The next thing I am going to do is have the front brakes done- including the rotors. The car is braking fine but the brakes have never been done and I have 92K on the car. I am curious why Volvo mechanics did not notice that, because they are the only ones to ever do maintenance on my car. I paid them $1200.00 to find the problem and they failed. They fixed everything but what I took the car in for. They don't get to do the brakes.
I have the same problem @ 60 and it seems worse when you let off the throttle. My garage had told me that by lower control arm bushings needed to be replaced when the timing belt was done, but I have not had them done yet. Mine is an '04 though.
I have a similar problem. my 2001 S60 vibrates in the drivers side front. It only happens when I'm accelerating from about 60 - 70. Seems pretty severe. Could bad tie rods be the culprit? recently got new tires and a 4 wheel allignment
