The relay is probably no good try using another relay that is the same as that one like the A,C relay and see if it still does it if it does not then you will know you need a new relay.

Anyone beside outback jack? Car won't start. Battery good. Alarem was gng on nd off New cell in remote keys. Started cpl time buzzing sound from gas cap while car is off.

Buzzing sound from the gas cap could be a defective fuel pump that kept running after you shut-off the engine or fuel pump relay problem that made it stay on after shutting it off.

Best of luck

2002 Cabrio... Where can I get a relay board?

Some manufactuers use a buzzer sound when you leave the keys in the ignition and car shut off. Some use a buzzer for a seatbelt that is not fastened when it detects a passenger.

The use of the turn signal or Hazard could break the circuit and silence the buzzer.

I dont hear the buzz from my fuel pump

If it has a fuel pump relay check that first. if the relay is good your fuel pump is probably on the fritz.(bad).

Truck just quit at a redlight intersection today and acts like it has no gas. The gas guage also goes from empty too 1/2 tank too empty too full some times for no apperant reason!!

So do you know if you have gas in your tank or not? You need to check for fuel pressure to make sure your pump is working. Inside you fuel tank is a fuel pump module which consists of your fuel pump and fuel level sender. It sounds like you are going to need to replace that. Can you hear your fuel pump buzzing. Open you gas filler cap and put your ear next to it while having a helper turn the key to the run position not start position. You should hear it run for about 5-10 seconds and then shut off. If you don't hear it you have a problem with your pump. It can be with the wiring, feul pump relay, or the pump itself. It is usually the pump. But even if you can hear the pump you still need to check your fuel pressure as the pump may be buzzing but not working correctly. Also check your fuel filter.

I shut the engine off. tried restarting, failed to do so, seems like not getting fuel. Is there a fuse for the fuel pump. It was on empty and I did add 1.5 ga gas

When you shut the engine off then it was not out of gas and there is a fuel fuse in the fuse panel and a fuse relay in the engine compartment. The fuse and relay box is always near the battery. It sounds like by the information I gathered so far is the fuel pump was sucking most of bottom gas which is always dirty gas and probably plugged the fuel filter. Make sure the to have someone listen if the fuel pump works by listening under the fuel tank while the ignition is turned on but not the starter.
1. Listen for a humming noise near the tank while someone turns the key on.
2. If the fuel pump makes is on then its your fuel filter.
3. If no sound then its your fuel pump. Start with the fuses then your relays and if they are all in working then its time to change your fuel pump.
( note: sometimes its just the way the car is sitting and tilting where all the fuel is unreachable for the pump and you might have to put more gas.) Hope this works. Cam

can you hear the fuel pump make a buzzing sound for 1 to 2 seconds when you turn the key to the on position? if yes, try changing the filter. if not check the fuses and fuelpump relay under the hood. if good, replace the pump

It won't start sounds like it's not getting gas?

turn the key on with everything quiet around you if you hear a buzzing sound (eletric motor running) for a couple of seconds, then the fuel pumps working!
there are crash switches that also go bad, they shut gas off in case of a crash, there is also a fuel pump relay switch, might be able to tap it and start the truck, if it starts while it's running tap it again if it stalls, there's your problem
