I have an 02 chevy s10 with a 2.2L motor. One day I went out to start the truck and it did not crank. I have checked the relay, to find that power does not reach it when I turn the key. Using a jumper...

Can you jumper the solenoid on the starter and make it crank ?
Do you have power to the relay when the key is in the start position ?
Power goes from the key switch thru a crank fuse, then thru the neutral safety switch, then to the starter relay. The relay sends power from a 40amp ignition fuse to the starter solenoid.

2002 chevy impala won't start if I jump starter

Is the security light on or flashing ?
The yellow wire goes from the key switch to the neutral safety switch, then to the starter. So bypassing the neutral safety would make the starter crank the engine, but would have nothing to do with the rest of the engine.

1988 Chevy S10 cranks fine but when driving down road when you go to shift into second it starts bogging down and cuts off.

thinking maybe the neutral safety switch may have a short in it or be broken...also check emissions vacuum equipment for leaks under load..now Im thinking there is an electric interlock (on manual transmission models that was make into the clutch pedal also) check this for proper operation..repost findings please..

Replaced the starter solenoid on my 83 Chevy S10 Pickup

Are you not getting voltage to the battery post on the solenoid, or the terminal for the wire from the key switch ?
You have a neutral safety switch between the starter and the key switch if that is the circuit in question.
Also take a look at the ground cable and connections.

My chevy s10 leak oil when park around a plug that 2 wirer go to on the side of the transmission

That would be the neutral safety switch and it should have an O-ring to seal it. The O-ring may be bad. Have a bucket handy when you take it out. Hope this helps.
