The Cadillac's have an automatic leveling system using a small compressor and air adjustable "shocks" to provide that BEAUTIFUL ride quality that they are known for. The computer has detected a fault in the system and is letting you know. It could be a faulty air line, bad shock, or a blown fuse. I hope this will give you a starting point if you are considering a repair.

I have the same car and it has always said service ride control. It's because you have regular shocks, not the adjustable electronic shocks. Your ride control is fine.

What does it mean when the dashboard reads gear indicator fault, service ride control and change oil soon even after i just got it changed along with service vehicle thats what keeps popping up on my dash...

Off the top of my head the following may be the case for your 1995 Cadillac Deville based on my 1997 Cadillac Deville knowledge:

gear indicator fault- has to do with the shift lever sensor down on the column by the feet,

service ride control- has to do with the air ride shocks in the back or the compressor in the front or the ride control height,

change oil soon- has to do with not resetting the % oil life (just press reset button for a few seconds when the oil % life is displayed)

Hope this helps you out.

Service ride control dash lights and stays on

You have one or more Electronic Shocks going bad on your vehicle suspension. The shocks are pretty expensive, about $500-600 dollars apiece from the Cadillac Dealer. If you want to turn the light off you can disconnect the battery for about 15 min. , but the Trouble Code may come on again.

1995 eldorado cadillac

My service ride control light was on my display and car was riding really low in the rear. figured my struts were going bad. turned out my fuse was blown for my ELC(electronic leveling control) and car was riding heavy when it blew, so it was stuck riding low in back and it almost fooled me into buying new struts($$$) Figured a fuse couldnt be the problem but checked just in case, and thats what it ended up being so that is the first thing I would check before I spent any money. lets hope your problem is this easy to fix. Good luck.
