None of this have anything to do with cold start . If plugged fuel filter it would be a problem hot or cold , IAC problem would cause an erratic idle . You need to have your vehicle hooked up to a scan tool that reads sensor data ! Sounds like you need to replace your throttle body. Maybe just the seal on the base. Really no way to check other then replace, But if you do replace make sure they change the gaskets along with it. Good luck to you, You may get a good one from a salvage yard to test it out,
02 sierra 1500 5.3 starts very quick when cold but when hot cranks a lot before starting,I replaced fuel pump and filter did not help.It has 55 psi fuel pressure but falls below 40 kinda fast.???
It sounds like you have a pin hole in the hose that goes to the fuel pump in the gas tank. The pump is mounted on springs and it is common for the plastic hose to get a hole rubbed in it from one of the springs. This usually cause the vehicle to be real hard to get started when it is cold.
