I have a 97 jeep wrangler sport 4.0. I had 2 change my heater core so in order 2 do that, I had 2 take everything out. After I changed my heater core I had everything hooked up (so I think) up 2 the instrument panel, wich was only plugged in and not screwed on, I was curios 2 see if my heater worked (along with everything else). When I had turned it on the brake light started flashing and beeping like the head lights were on and the door was open, so i pushed on the instrument panel and the beeping stoped and the brake light stayed on. Also all the gages on the instrument panel dont work. What could be the the way 2 fix this?

SOURCE: the gage cluster

Had the same problem on my wife's 1999 Cherokee.  I had to take the entire left side of the dash off to get the instrument cluster out.  You need to unplug it and clean the plug and the instrument cluster itself off and then put everything back together.  Worked for me and haven't had a problems since.  One note: the headlight switch has to be taken off and it's kinda hard.  You have to get up underneath it and  there is a clip that has to be pinched in order for you to pull the switch off.  Hope this helps because I know what a pain it is!

SOURCE: Brake lights on my wrangler won't work

also the multifunction switch in the steering column cancels out the brake lights when the turn signals are on.. this swtch assembly has brake signal that goes to it then is split to the rear lights of the jeep. this might be your issue

1995 jeep wrangler yj low heat after changing heater core -would reversed heater hoses cause this also- thank u -so much

Not really, the heater core would still get hot enough to produce enough heat and usually the hoses will fall to the right spot making it hard to put them on the wrong ends. Why was the heater core changed? was it clogged? Did you flush the engine out to prevent the new core from clogging up? Have you looked into it being a stuck open thermostat?

97 Jeep Wrangler sport- Cranks, will not

Fuel flow. Either simply, a blocked fuel line (debris / filter / fouled gas) or an electronic issue. Ever let this Jeep run bone dry on gas? Hopefully not, as doing so can draw a lot of crud into your fuel lines from the bottom of the tank. Electronically, if part of the Jeep "brain" has gone bad, there may not be any fuel being routed to the engine. This most likely needs a Jeep mechanic to repair.

97 jeep wrangler sport, mechanic changes clutch

If the pilot bearing was the problem it would make noise with the clutch pushed and go away when you let it out. Have you checked the fluid level in the transmission?

HEATER CORE REPLACEMENT!

I have a 1993 Jeep Wrangler YJ...My heater core needed replacement when I bought it about a year ago. I made the mistake of taking apart the dash to get to the heater core. DO NOT DO THIS!!! It is actually 4 screws that you must take out from the inside of the engine compartment on the firewall. Then it will come right out. Have fun!!!

97 jeep wrangler starts then stops right away, I can give it gas and get the rpms up then it just stops. I have already replaced the spark plugs, fuel injectors the wires and the rotor cap and rotor. Even...

I had the same problem with my 1997 Wrangler. I seem to of solved this by turning the ignition to off then depressing the lock on the immobilizer. Then waited for about 10-15 seconds after the red light on the dash quit blinking fast . Then I hit the unlock on the immobilizer and the Jeep started and ran ok. I guess the immobilizer is the culprit and it doesn't unlock initially

I need to change the Heater core, Please help me. Thank You

Replacing the heatercore on a wrangler is not easy. The dash has to be pulled foward, cables have to be disconnected, heater hoses disconnected, heater housing dropped and disassembled. I suggest for you to buy a repair manual and it will guide through all the steps to perform this task.
