It is only about $8 for the bulb, as long as you have not broken the lens. That costs a lot more.

2007 outback headlights not working

Have you replaced the bulbs? I realize it's unlikely they'd fail @ the same time, but check the Owner's Manual. as they may be connected. I know that the 2005 model had an issue where it would blow/burn-out the headlight bulbs much sooner than it should. Google that issue, too.

Headlight has burned out and needs to be bought and replaced

The bulb is only about $8, and is not hard to replace.
You just turn the retaining ring enough for it to come off on the back side of the lamp, and then the bulb pulls right out.
It is only the lens that is expensive.

Headlight problems

Insure there is no moisture entering the lamp housing.
When handling the replacement bulbs do not touch the glass surface with your bare hands. The oils in your skin cause premature bulb failure.

2005 Outback SW; in last 4 years have had no less than 8 headlight bulbs (including original equip); our 2002 never had this issue. Dealer feigns ignorance of any widespread problem. At $11/each it's...

check all ground connctions around/near the headlights for tightness corrosion, also have someone check voltage with headlights on , maybe system is being over charged by the Alternator and blowing the bulbs..

Headlight low beam

Test to see if you have voltage at the bulb connector in low beam position. I'd almost bet that if there is no voltage there for the low beams that you have a bad high/low switch.

Change Headlight on a 2005 Subaru Impreza

IF the bulb is the only part you need to replace, Where the wires for the bulb are there is a large plastic ring that just 1/4 turns to release the bulb. Do not touch the bulb with your fingers. Just unplug the bulb and replace with new one then reinstall and 1/4 turn to seat it again. There are no screws to remove for the bulb replacement. Sometimes the local auto stores will do it for you. Advance Auto here will put them in for you. Good luck and have a great day.

Need to replace a headlight assembly for a 2006 Subaru Outback.

No, you just remove the radiator grill and the side marker light and the headlight housing bolts and it comes out. Not a real hard job and is Real straight forward. Good luck and have a good day.

How to replace low beam bulb on 2004 baja

I was able to locate an owners manual for the vehicle. The large plastic weatherguard protecting the headlight bulb connections needs to be rotated CCW about 90 degrees, and removed to provide access to the bulbs. Then remove the center connection for the low beam and release the spring clip retainer to release the low beam bulb. Replace with new bulb and reconnect/reinstall retainer clip, center connector wire, and weatherguard. Note that this is the procedure for the Turbo Baja...non-Turbo model is different.
