When jump starting any vehicle always hook up the positive to the battery first and then hook the ground(black) lead to some metal surface on the engine. This way you do not throw sparks near the battery.

My mercedez benz clk 430 wont start . in the dash it says batttery/alternator. what is the problem?

Test battery charge, jump the battery to start and check battery charge, sound like a alternator or voltageregulator wrong there.

I've had my 320 CLK convertible for 7 years, its a 1999 v reg. Drove it 25 miles, turned it off to go to a shop, come out and it wouldn't start. Lights work, radio works, dash lights all on but...

ignition switch contact or starter motor given up the ghost ,try a jump start and see if that works ,do the lights go dim when you try to start it??if so then its a flat battery or a old battery thats just died on you. These vehicles do have a big ignition lock in the dash and these just dont go wrong like a VW but its possible?

Car won't start after entering the wrong code

The wait time for these is usually about 24 hrs. Have you tried calling the dealer to see if there is an over-ride code and do you have the proper code to enter? If you call the dealer, you will need the vin and registration.

I cant remove the radio in my mercedez benz 2002 clk 320

If the radio is a factory fitted it would be a problem for you to remove except you take the car to a specialize workshop otherwise check properly there could be one or two pin or screw holding it.

Hi i haven't drive my mercedez clk 320 2005 for about one yrs and the battery is dead, should i buy a new one or should i charge up to see if it work?

You could do either, if you will be driving it again now you may opt for a new battery. Take it out and have the battery tested at your auto parts store if it checks out OK charge it up
