No Heat Passenger Side. I have a 1999 Cadillac Deville. The problem is I can't get heat on the passenger side. Air blows but it is cold. I do have heat on the driver?s side. My car has the spate control for the passenger on the door. I have turned both controls set of controls on and off (Driver and Passenger). Also the air coming out of the passenger side comes out at a higher velocity.

Hello: You have a failed temperature control actuator for the passenger air mix door. Remove the glove box and the close out panel under the dash on the passenger side. You will see two silver rods going from the actuators (mounted on the top and bottom of the heater/a/c programmer) Turn key on (engine off) Turn the a/c heater control on. Go from 60 to 90 or 90 to 60 and watch the rods the one that doesn't move is the failed one. The actuator is held in place by two 7mm screws and one electrical connector. When installing the new actuator have the temp set at 60 when you hook up the linkage. The passenger side set at full cold.

If I may add, the actuator on top, which is only visable after removing the glovebox, opens the heat source up or turns it off..In my case the problem. Thanks again Darryl!

99 deville, cold air on pass. side warm on drivers side

There should be a nozzle on the left passenger side that has blue for cold and red for hot so if there is a light on the nozzle all you have to do is turn it to cold if you want it cold. Caddy's have dual heat so you can change what you feel coming out push the nozzle in and the light should go off. Therefore making the car on the same hot/cold.

I have a 1999 Cadillac Deville Concorse. The climate controls are all on the dash below the radio. The drivers side works perfectly (both hot and cold), but the passenger side works intermittently. If I...

Could be that the hvac control module has an intermittent problem or the air mix door control for the passenger side is sticking. Check for error codes (DTCs) using a code scanner, but may not show an intermittent mechanical issue. If you can get at the air mix control on the hvac box under the dash on the passenger side, you may be able to check its operation.

The blend door for the passenger side is not connected right or functioning correctly. Try seeing if the dial on the armrest on the passenger side is not rotated one way or the other too much.

1999 cadillac deville d'elegance heater problem

i've been down here too myself, and discovered that the temp control motor, located in the bottom of the glove box, which you can access by clearing all your stuff in in and opening a small door.
you can adjust it manually, and see if it changes, if yes, the switch can be defective, as well as the motor, the switch is the most likely problem.
but adjust it manually first.

1999 cadillac Deville cold air blowing out passenger side vents

Sounds like a Blend door issue, but could be the controller switch, Test ALL modes of operation to see what works and what does not. That should narrow it down a bit. The Blend doors are flap/ doors that regulate air flow, newer vehicles are plastic - electric assemblies ...prone to failure. Any clicking or thumping noises during switching modes and on-off suggest a bad Blend door. Hope that helps...good luck
