Under the glove box beneath the dash the resistor should be screwed into the heater housing.

'95 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo...Blower motor speed control resistor out. Only blows on high. Where is the resistor located to replace?

It is located on the heater box. Can be inside cabin or underhood. But it's def in the big black box somewhere. Hard to notice, all you will see is a plug in and a flat flange. May snap in may bolt in. I recently changed one on a dodge caravan and it was just above the heater hoses under the hood. Hope this helps !

Blower motor 95 jeep Cherokee

Hi Craftsman,
I suffered a similar failure on my little Rover. I think you will find out the resistor on the blower has had it. It is probably similar in theory. The resistor block contains several resistors. As you alter the blower speed, different resistors are used. One of yours has obviously failed. You need to replace the resistor block, which may be located at the back of the engine bay, on the passenger side, under the wiper module. Or you can remove the resistor block and replace the failed resistor - a competent auto-electrician can do this, or advise you how to.

1995 Grand Jeep Cherokee

The lower speeds are controlled by a resistor block. That's what needs to be replace. It's usually located next to the blower. It will have electrical wires connected to it. High speed bypasses the block so it alway works.
If you want to replace it then;
) Disconnect the battery negative terminal if the vehicle have air bags. Wait 2 minutes for system to discharge.
) Remove the kick block on the passenger side. )Remve the glove box ) Remove the bolts holding the blower motor resistor. Push the red lock up and press down on the click ) Pull the block out. ) Install new block and reverse steps above.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo air only works on high

The blower motor resistor is bad. The reisistor is located under the dash by the blower motor. If the car has auto temp, the resistor is like a small module and can be expensive.
