check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder first...if empty ch eck for signs of leakage at slave cylinder (inside bell housing) this is very common...remove transmission (very difficult on your back) replace everything inside....clutch.pressure plate slave etc. etc. if you have never done this before get some HELP! the trans is very heavy...make sure the truck can not move & remember to remove the shifter first good luck! ps...a service manual would be helpful
Possible leaks are 1. Transmission belly Pan gasket 2. Front pump/torque converter seal. 3. Transmission fluid cooler lines 4. Axle seals at right and left half shafts.
Hello coffeyjoh791, first make sure the transmission isn't low on fluid, if you are certain that it isn't low on fluid you may be wise to have the fluid and filter changed in the transmission.
God luck my friend!
Tranny fluid may have been contaminated with coolant since tranny cooler lines go to radiator or condensor. I would fix your leak on radiator, then completely drain tranny fluid and filter and replace.
