High RPM @ 100km/hr

VVTI is a( vibrel valve timing intelegent) this system used in twin came engine applied 1 INLET came is auto advance in 100km/hr in 8500 RPM.

Usually sign of a gear issue. It revs high when the gear is too low for the task. Should idle around 1000 rpm.
Onstar wont see this. Check the gear box. The garage wont charge you to look. Try an authorised dealer

roughly if you are doing 3000rpm you will be doing approx. 100 klms/hr or 60 mph at 120km/hr you would be around 3200rpms.; Remember this will be in o/drive or 5th

2 issues,
1: MPG, you failed to say MPG, 15mpg? or 39? is 39 low?
what MPG? you never said it?

2: rpm cruise. (what drive line, A/T M/T ?) what tranny?
first google hit , is this it? this yours?
engine: 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol, 75 kW/133 Nm
Transmissions: 5-speed manual, 4-speed automatic, FWD

3300 RPM in 5th and 100km
if you wish to now what is normal, find the final drive ratio, listed in the FSM. Id say this is normal. typical of tiny engines, with low torque.at lower RPMs.

if you have the A/T and IF the trannywere to slip, the TCM will infact throw DTC codes, telling you it did.
IS IT? (scan tools show you this fact as might that glowing CEL lamp on the dash, on driving.

RPM
my 1.6L spins 3000 RPM , at below tranny options valve counts.
54/59mph (104km/hr = 59) 5sp MT.
64.6 4sp A/T (goes fastest due to more aggressive OD + axle ratio is lower.)
56/.53 2sp A/T
see how drive line effects RPM? so will your cars options.

Just guess

100km or 60 mph

Around 1800 rpm,
not more than 2200, unless you
remember something else, when
you had no transmission problems

I am assuming that this is an automatic transmission and it would indicate that that the transmission is not shifting into high gear. The normal rpm range at 100km should be 1800 -2200 rpm's. A visit to the transmission shop would be my recommendation.

change trans fluid and filter and a fuel filter might not hert

That sounds like the the temperture sensor. that is what works the revs when the car is cold, is should be at the front of the engine. hope that helps
