Location for the 2.5 engine
If this is a 3.5 V6, the thermostat is located on the passenger side (referred to as the Front of the motor). It's not easy to remove, I'll warn you right now. And the replacement thermostat is a one piece aluminum 90 degree elbow with the thermostat built into it. Three 10mm bolts hold it in place and are a PAIN to get to. You may want to remove the belt pulley system and idler assembly to do this. It also requires a gasket. Best thing to do is get a subscription to www.alldatadiy.com (it's got all the diagrams and repair procedures for the Altima, if you're gonna do it yourself).

Boritz2: there are several speed sensors on this vehicle, so I will give you the locations of all of them due to the fact that I don't know which one you are seeking.
There are speed sensors located at each wheel to work with the ABS unit.
On the trans-axle, on the driver's side near the top of the transmission.
