Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r5929960-s_thermostat . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.

On the 3 liter engine, the thermostat is at the end of the upper radiator hose.

On the DOHC engines, it is at the end of the lower radiator hose.

If you have the 3.4 liter DOCH engine, you have to take the battery, power box, and battery tray out to get at it.

Sensor for coolant location for 2002 Chrysler Voyager 3.3 Litre 6 Cylinder please

HUNT NUMBER, 10,012.
the ECT sensor it is, and the location is gen4 location, only, for years stated below. only my most !

2002 actual
3.3l ONLY (gen4) 2001 to 2007 are the same why.(location)
ECT SPOT?

I say the new thermostat ( not one lasted 22 year ever) is new and is the 200F stamped KIND then
OBD2 PID scans show 200f hot or up to 220f until fans kick-in
on the other hand if the PID scans of ECT show it varies like mad engine normal hot then there is AIR stuck there.
someone did not burp out all the air and no ECT made works stuck in any AIR pocket.
if all that is good and ECT reads wrong then sure ECT is bad.
hope I saved you 4 hours labor for nothing, .

The exact model of car dictates what need to be removed, to get to TOP rear of intake lower manifold.
rear means closet to the transmission. in this case facing engine right end. is it. FWD car.

THE FIRST SMALL IMAGE IS A CUT AWAY IMAGE, REAR INTAKE MANIFOLD.

1999 RAV4 THERMOSTAT LOCATION?

In a 1999 Toyota RAV4, the thermostat is located in the engine compartment, near the top of the engine block. It is typically located on the passenger side of the engine, near the front of the vehicle. To access the thermostat, you will need to remove the plastic engine cover.
To replace the thermostat, you will need to drain the coolant from the engine, remove the hose that connects the radiator to the engine, and then remove the mounting bolts for the thermostat housing. Once the housing is removed, you can access the thermostat and remove it. Be sure to refer to a repair manual for specific instructions, as the process may vary slightly depending on your vehicle's specific model and year.

Hi im trying to find out if my grand prix has a thermostat .not sure if it does i thought maybe it might be built in

all vehicles have thermostats, the location differs from vehicle to vehicle, looking up the information specific to your car will help, using the internet or shop manuals to find the year of car, engine, transmission, and then finding an exploded diagram of your motor will help you find the thermostat on your car, but be careful, some thermostats are very hard to replace

Please tell me where locate the theromostat in

The thermostat is located inside the thermostat housing. To find it follow the upper radiator hose to the engine block.
Depending what size of engine you have the location is different.
The thermostat on this vehicle's (the Envoy & Trailblazer are essentially the same vehicle) In-line 6 cylinder engine is on the driver's side of the engine, below & behind the alternator.
If you have a V8 cylinder engine is in front of engine see the picture. Item 303 thermostat housing, 305 thermostat, and 304 thermostat gasket.
