CHECK IGNITION AND PCM FUSE.YOU COULD HAVE SHORT OUT PCM. IT CONTROL FUEL PUMP. CHECK FUEL PUMP RELAY.SCAN VECHICLE FOR PCM FAULT TO KEEP FROM SPENDING A WHOLE LOT OF MONEY.

I would start with all the fuses. Yes this seems like a simple and pointless thing to do but I have a 2002 S type Jaguar and my issue was a fuse in the trunk panel I did not even know existed. You should have 3 fuse boxes. Check all the fuel related fuses first then you can go from there. Also if you have replaced a fuel pump recently pull it out and set it back in the fuel tank. It may not be put in correctly therefore blocking the sock on the pump and not being able to pull fuel. your fuel pump will only fit perfectly only one way. These are simple fixes but most the time that is what it is
ok have you checked the cam postion sensor signals?if they are good, next check the inertia switch on the passensger side kickpanel and make sure the switch is deactivated that cuts fuel off to the engine,if the pump is working and all fuses good, then make sure the center security light is not on solid after the inition is turned on to phase two.If this light stays on then its a security issue whereas the inition isnt recognizing the key,If all this works,then go under the hood,disconnect the coolant temp sensor on the passenger side of the engine ,its a19 mm socket,to remove but just disconnect the sensor connector then try and crank it...These will make the s type not run at all...This is a step by step troubleshoot for these cars that I have ran into
It is likely the fuel pump safety switch, search for a solution online but, some0most cars this happens to after an accedent for obvious reasons. Probably not a big deal, the dealer of a shop may even be able to help over the phone or even maybe just disconnect the neg. battery terminal and this may reset it. Good Luck
try spraying starting fluid in the air intake throttle body. If it starts for a few seconds, it's a fuel issue, maybe the pump. If no start, may be electrical issue.
i believe this 2 be the v6 model this is a problem as car is only running/starting on 4/5 cylenders try cleaning/replacing spark plugs and put some redex or symelar in fuel tank next time u fill up theese should help
Check all your fuses first as it sounds like you shorted something out, did you turn the jag off before connecting the jump leads, if you did you will be ok but if you did not it is more than likely a fuse.

i wouldn't recommend useing the starting fluid method anymore..it actually is very bad for the engine the ether wipes the oil off of the cylinder walls and that could cause big problems..other than that i would say its the fuel pump whe u turn the key forward..not to start the car just to turn the key so the radio plays..listen for a quick buzzing sound coming from the back of the car twards the gastank..if u do not hear it its probably the fuel pump good luck
