When the engine light is on you have a problem detected by the computer on your vehicle which could be related to the fuel gauge not reading correctly or not at all. You can go to the local parts store and they will read your codes generally for free. You can post the codes they read on here and we can try and help you out. Did they take your fuel tank out from under the vehicle to repair it? If so they may not have hooked up the connector on top of the fuel tank so the sender will work. Did it work at all after they did the work? var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_afc0274c10a74ee6baea7ce7c5283487(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); }

If the gauge isn't working it's something that the person did or didn't do. The light is probably on because of the evap system, wasn't repaired properly. I know tanks can be costly, but I would replace it. Try a salage yard, call around, alot of times these yards are linked nation wide. If the gauge was broken it will cost you a new pump and sending unit.(one unit)

Yes, they did remove the tank to repair it. The fuel gauge has not worked since it left the shop; we noticed the problem when we filled it up.
