Need to know what trouble code 1736 on 2005 jaguar x-type

you definitely need an ignition coil or two.
s types need coils regularly.

Jaguar issued a Technical Service Bulletin related to this code ("Malfunction indicator lamp illuminated 3.0 l v6 false flagging of diagnostic trouble code P1383 or P1388"); reprogramming of the PCM should correct the problem

If your PCM already has been updated, then there is an issue with your variable valve timing system. It will need further diagnosis.

Hi, the MAP sensor detects low vacuum in the intake manifold and essentially tells the computer you are stepping on the accelerator. sorry but no code number this high in the jaguar codes so i would contact the code reader manufacturer and ask for a definination of what their codes read ,jaguar codes only read up to 1470 with a P in front ,if this problem is what i think it is then its a new panel unit ---OUCH--- expensive

i have a 2004 jaguar x-type and i replaced my battery and the radio is locked and i dont know the code. i bout the car second hand and the code that the dealership has isnt working. what can i do to get the radio unlocked?

Looks like you have acommunication problem with the computer, it is going in to safe mode. Check all computer connections before you go to jaguar.
