2007 Chevy Equinox. Speedometer and temp gauge randomly won't go to 0 when truck is turned off. Also get a random stability track message.

Unlikely to be the battery, but they can be checked very easily.

you need a good auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer to diagnose all the electrics.

Did you disconnect the battery when you changed the starter over? Then did you reset the alarm and engine immobilizer?

I lost power steering on a 2007 Equinox after changing the serpentine belt. Any suggestions?

Are you sure you have the belt installed correctly? Not hard to make a mistake. Did you get any oil or fluid on the belt? Did you change belt tensioner at same time? Usually a good idea.

Disconnect the battery for 30 minutes. You will have to reset the radio/clock afterwards though.

We had the engine light on and replaced the evap. selenoid so the engine light went out and when we took it thru inspection it still did not pass. We had a mechanic do smoke test and they changed gas cap...

Have you disconnected battery at least fifteen minutes?

Can't pas inspection, computer won't reset.

Disconnect battery for a few minutes then reconnect. If the system didn't reset you may need to leave the battery disconnected longer even overnight.

How to reset computer?

Did you disconnect the battery when you replaced the sensor? If not, disconnect the battery and when you reconnect it this should reset the computer.

How to reset power steering on 2007 chevy equinox

My power steering system in Equinox 2007 just stopped to work without any reason. I tried to find solutions and found out that there was no dedicated fuse for it. Which means that it is under the computes's control. What should we do with any computer first if we have problems? That's correct - restart it! :-)
I disconnected the battery for 30 seconds and voila - no issue with power steering anymore. No expensive parts, no 80 amp fuse replacement, no service of any kind :-)

Where would the coolant thermostat location be on a 2005 chevey equinox. need to replace a new one in order to pass inspection,if anyone can help me. jess

It would be located at the rear side of your engine ( facing the drivers fender ) behind the exhaust manifold

push the gas pedal to the floor 3 TIMES WITH IN 5 SECONDS

I took the battery out of an o7 Eqinox to check the washer pump. when i put the battery back in, the car won't start & now the key is stuck in the ignition. i took the battery to be tested & it is good.

I am having the same problem with my 2008 Equinox. I took it to get the inspection done, It will not pass because I put a new battery on it. I have went to 2 places and driven 500 miles. It still won't pass. Is there anyone out there that knows how many miles you have to drive before it will pass inspection? I am worried that I will get a ticket before this vehicle passes.

07 Chevy Equinox wont pass insection.The first time they said OBD was reading not ready now after 500 miles ans a second visit for an inspection it fails for the same.Has anyone out there have had this problem please post,car was inspected in New York. at 57,589 miles

It just needs to be driven for a few days and it should pass after that,it just needs time to run through its self tests,hope this helps
