How much to put on rear shocks on 2005 buick lesabre

Depends on where you are and where you are taking your vehicle. There is not much to changing them if you have the wrenches. It is quite straight forward. Go to an Auto Parts Store of your liking and ask how much for the shocks and what you have to do to replace them. They will give you a price and then call repair shops. The difference in the cost of the shocks and the replacement cost will be the labor they charge for the work. If you want to save the cost of the labor then see if you can do it yourself. You might be able to buy yourself a hydraulic jack with the money you save and have it for other repairs later.

I have a 2002 Tahoe LT with Autoride, when getting tires replaced I noticed one front and one rear shock were leaking, replacement quote was approx $550 each. Does a leaking shock need to be replaced...

Hello, my name is Shaun. I will do my best to help you out with your problem. As far as your shocks needing to be replaced ASAP, i would say it's not an emergency. Worn shocks will result in a pretty bouncy ride, and if let go long enough, could result in irregular tire wear, but your truck won't fall apart if you don't change them today. Ultimately, the spring is what holds your truck in the air, the shock is just there to absorb impact and make your ride a little more comfortable. They also help in cornering, so expect a little bit of over-steer, as your truck will roll more quickly in tight turns. The shocks should be replaced in pairs, as different shocks have different ride qualities. (i.e both fronts, then both backs.) The Monroe shocks are okay, but they don't last quite as long as a higher end shock. At the price they quoted, you could buy a higher-end shock, do the work yourself, and still save a ton of money. And yes, it is basically as simple as unbolting the old shock and replacing it with the new. My advice to you would be to purchase a Haynes manual for your truck when you purchase the shocks. This will give you step-by-step instructions to change the shocks and will also be a valuable asset should other problems arise. Hope this helped you out, and if you have any more in-depth questions, feel free to reply to this answer and i will get back to you. Have a great day!

Trying to find out what it would cost for shocks and alligment on our 2001 oddysey van

Front struts are about $85 apiece, rear shocks are about $34 apiece plus alignment would be about $60-70. The price for the shocks and struts are from autozone, com My suggestion to you is to buy the parts from a auto parts store and then take them to a reputable shop or mechanic and have them install it and do the alignment, that way you will save money on parts because the shop won't markup the price of the struts and shocks, you will just pay for the labor.

I have a 1999 Ford Expedition and the fluid in the shocks are leaking out. I have ordered some new ones. I am fairly handy with cars but something tells me it's not a matter of removing the air line and...

You may want to turn the air suspension off before you go and try to remove the old shocks. Dealing with these air lines and what not can be kind of tricky. If you want to save you some time, and money check out Strutmasters. They offer air to non air conversion kits that will fix your vehicle up in no time.
