Maybe sticky relay, the relay times out when the glow plugs reach temperature, if the relay is sticking then light will stay on and so will glow plugs if they have not burnt out
P1954 automatic glow time control module 2 electric circuit malfunction. P1955. Glow plug control module 2, to pcm circuit range/ performance. You have to replace the the glow plug module and maybe glow plug also
Are the threads of the glow plug assembly broken off in the head? Any way to get a hold and turn? If so you can try to heat it with a torch or penetrating lubricant.
If there is no other solution but to drill and tap I would take off the head and take it to a cylinder shop, have it machined and replace the head. I know this may seem like a task but if you have time and another vehicle its a lot cheaper to do it yourself. Get a book for your vehicle that shows the repair and replace procedure and torque specks.

The motor is either stripped internally or the track has broken. The only way to verify which is the cause is to take the panel off the door. If the window is stuck in a position other then all the way down it is most likely a striped motor.
This is a Diesel van -- Glow plugs are not too terribly hard to replace, and as long as you disconnect the battery first when replacing them you shouldn't have a problem (except for maybe some access issues - It is a Van) - So yeah, if you can get to them - go for it - you won't hurt anything (Provided you do not cross thread anything) and you can always stop or put them back if you feel uncomforttable...Best of luck...
If the piece with all the tread's on it has screwed out then a punch will put it out if their are some of the tread's left on the piece broken in then you will have to bore it out. You will need to remove the cylinder head regardless as the piece stuck in when you remove it will fall into the cylinder and the only way to get it out it through the cylinder head.
