The pugre solenoid is stuck open. pull the electrical plug and reinsert, see if it starts working. if not replace the solenoid. It can be located on the intake manifold, at the charcoal canister or any where in between. I don't know what your vehicle is or what year.

Wont start and trouble code is p1441

P1441 Evaporative Emission System Flow During Non-Purge.

The vacuum system/Evaporative recovery system. Evap. (vapor cannister) code MAY be as a result of excessive fuel flow into the cylinders overloading the cannister's capacity. Possible cause is a failing Oxygen sensor giving a "Lean" indication to the engine computer, causing more fuel than is needed to be injected into the cylinders and captured by the vapor system. Trying to keep track of the changing readings may be taxing the computer's memory. Have the oxygen sensor checked. If it is functioning correctly, check for vacuum leaks, cracked or broken vacuum hoses.

Take you car to a professional as this is going to take some skill and knowledge to repair. Dont keep buying parts to fix the problem as this will get very expensive.

Imisions test comes back with, code P1441 ?

P1441 is a EVAP code, small leak I thinking.

P1441 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Flow During Non-Purge

Now for the fix: the ECM uses a pressure sensor to watch the system and see that there are no leaks. If it sees a leak via the pressure sensor, it sets this code. The ECM wants to see the pressure sensor voltage drop down, indicating that there is vacuum on the system, and it wants it to be able to hold this vacuum for at least 30 seconds. If this does not happen, it will set a code. As a note, the vent solenoid is the most common failure on these systems.

Hope helps (remember to rate and comment this).

Advanced auto checked my car and the code comes up "p1441" "dealer" yet no one will or can tell me what it means

The biggest reason for this is that many of the codes are universal to all cars but when they come up as dealer the manufacturer set the parameter for this code. This code for a on several models P1441 - Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Flow During Non-Purge The purge valve may be stuck open allow it to purge even when it should not be. I will see if I can find anything else on this for you.

Where is the purge solenoid location on a 1996 Chevrolet silverado 1500 ???? trucks runs bad and I was told it was that or some other vacuum leak also I have code p0300 and p1441 if anyone can help...

A P0300 DTC is a misfire code. The P1441 is a no flow during purge code which has to do with the purge solenoid. With the misfire code present I would say you have a vacuum leak on one of the hoses. The purge solenoid is located in the passenger side, rear of the intake manifold.

P1441, EVAP Emissions System Flow During Non-Purge.
you seem to have an evap problem these problems are hard to diagnose sometimes it can only be the gas cap or maybe rust around the seat of the gaz cap
get the code erase and see if it comes back on and if it does check gas cap and arroung the filling neck if there is rust if no visible rust apears you will have to get it check with smoke to see where it leaks

hope it will help you

Have a great day
