Where is the blower fuse located

You can pull the HEATER/AC fuse in the I/P fuse block or you can pull the BLOWER fuse in the under hood fuse block.

This is a know issue and the likely problem is the blower motor resistor has failed causing the blower to remain on high speed all the time whether the vehicle is running or not.

You can do one of two things.

1. You can call your GM dealer and get all the updated parts (kit) and install them yourself

2. for a bit less you can replace the blower resistor with an aftermarket one and the problem will likley resolve itself. It will just be a question of when will it happen again.

Heater stays on when vehicle is turned off. Stays on when I remove the fuse also. Drained my battery while I was at work.

PULLING THE BLOWER MOTOR FUSE SHOULD MAKE THE BLOWER STOP. HOWEVER, THERE IS ALSO AN AC/HEATER FUSE THAT CAN KEEP THE MOTOR RUNNING. { IN FUSEBOX ON LOWER LEFT SIDE OF DASH }

2004 Chevy Trailblazer, At first you could only get the air conditioning to switch on by turnning the vehicle off and switching over to AC. Now the AC will not come on and it is always blowing hot air out...

Could be your main blower motor resistor, mine would still run the fan even after shutting off the vehicle.(safari van) Had to unplug the resistor to stop the fan,it was near the blower under the hood. Bought a new one for about $45 bucks. Replaced it and all is fine. Might want to check relays first, sometimes they stick and need replacing.
Good luck.

1997 buick century - blower stays on when car is off

The blower motor relay is stuck, holding the curcit engauged. Look under the hood, find the conveinence center, where you will find fuses and relays (read the cover, see if one says AC/Heater blower relay), if not, look in your car's manual, to see where this relay is located. When you find it, pull it out, see if the moter stops, if ti does , replace it.

Blower for AC/Heater stopped working

if you can reach the blower motor, it could be a worn out carbon brush of the blower motor. if they are, buy a set of carbon brush, learn how to replace them and it would be back running in no time. by the way, when you pull out the carbon brush holder, make sure you dont interchange the position. you can put them back wards and what would happen is the rotation will be reversed. either you reversed the carbon brush holder or just simply interchange the wires that are coming to the motor. i hope i was able to help...
