I don't have that much experience with jaguars, but I do with your problem. If your controls are working properly, ie goes to defrost, floor, vent. then the blend door motor is not working. It is usually located in the middle of the car, behind the control panel, You might be able to access it from the passenger side. two or three screws hold it on. If you can get to it, I would pull the wire plug and put it back in to see if it is a bad connection first. If not then replace the motor.
Hope this helps you

I had this on my 2001 3.0 SE X-Type just after having driveshaft replaced. It worked for a week and one evening just stopped giving out heat, A/C worked as didi everything else but cold, no heat. Read that one guy sloved it by disconnecting his battery, so I disconnected the + terminal for a minute. Reconnected turned over and hey presto HEAT!!. Remember to keep your radio code handy.

Why when I turn on the heat it gets cold after a few minutes

Air in cooling system? Blockage? Thermostat failing? Collapsed hoses. there are many reasons why this problem exists. Hot coolant passes through your heater core which is generally located on the firewall of the car. If hot coolant does not circulate into the heater core, it will not pick up the heat and your car heating system will blow cool air. Coolant circulation is most likely the underlying issue. Your water pump may also be failing.

No heater controls no blower or ac fuses good 89 jaguar xj6

My 93 xj6 doesn't blow or anything but I found that if I kick the blower under the string wheel. It comes on. Then it's blowing cold on the dash and hot out the center counsel. Where do I kick to fix that? There are buttons that light up by the steering wheel. That look like the seat heater button. Is there a way to choose to make the thing blow cold in front and hot in back? 989-657-2563

2000 Jaguar S type 3.0 Blows only cold air on full heat. Just replaced heater control valve with no change. Also flushed and replaced thermostat. Car operating temperaure is fine. Both heater hoses are...

Check the little pump below the brake booster for running and the coolant valve for movement.

Both hoses to fire wall should be hot.

Check for air lock in system.

Blend doors on this vehicle stop working....common complaint.

To verify Blend door movement, turn on ignition with engine off.

Run temp to max and the min..... listen under glove box for ( sliding ) motor noise as door swings from hot to cold.

This is a digital system needing a Jaguar scanner for diagnosis.

Heater does not come on, Radiator fluid full. Fluid heats, heater does not work blower works heater does not get hot or even warm.

Probably air locked. check to see if one of the hoses leading into heater is hot. Other cause could be heater solenoid control valve faulty. Very unlikely that the heater matrix is blocked. Easiest way to bleed heater is to remove hose's when car is cold and GENTLY flush through with garden hose and push hoses back on when full of water, so you know you have a heater full of fluid. Hope this helps

My blower is workin but it won ,t throw heat just cold air its like the ac wont shut off what do i do

First, make sure that there is hot coolant circulating through the heater core. You can do this by feeling the heater hoses where they connect to the core. Both hoses should be hot. If there is hot coolant circulating through the core, then your next task is to find out why there is no airflow through the heater core. Check the doors, particularly the blend door, to make sure that they open and close as they should. If there is hot coolant in the core, and airflow through it, then you will have heat.

Heater blowing cold air regardless of climate control temperature setting

If you look by the firewall there are two hoses. They go into the heater core. When the engine is warmed up, and the heater on. Feel if both hose are equally warm. Be carefull you don't burn yourself. A valve lets the hot water circulate through the heater core therefore providing heat. Also feel if the heater core is warm under you dash on the passenger side. If it feels cold then water is not circulating. Locate the valve, which is usually vacuum operated. See if there is vacuum there when the heater is in the on position.

My 2002 s type jaguar doesn't heat. the fans

Probably the heater control valve, had same issue, started with one side not hot, then erratic, hot then cold while heat is set to hot, now both side are cold to lukewarm. diagnosed as heater control valve, common for jag s-types and x-types. located on the passenger side, down low the side of the radiator, it has several hoses into and out of valve, and a electrical connector.

2003 sable heater not working

Warm up vehicle. Then, from the engine compartment, grip each heater hose to check if they are HOT. Not warm HOT. If they are both hot, then the BLEND DOOR is stuck to the cold position. Access this thru glove box area.

If they are not HOT, then check radiator hoses for proper heat. If radiator hoses are not HOT then thermostat is stuck OPEN.

If they are HOT then there may be a restriction in circulation to the heater hoses and heater core.
