My left rear turn signal is out on my 2006 Malibu. The bulb is good, but I replaced it anyway since I had the assembly apart. The left front flasher works fine as well. Before I try and replace any fuses, I was wondering if that would even solve anything seeing as how everything else is working and there doesn't seem to be a separate fuse for each blinker. I don't have a full repair manual and I don't know much about the electrical system in this vehicle. All the lights work, but the left rear doesn't flash.

Stop lamp an hazard lights work ?
The body control module (BCM) is responsible for controlling the turn signals and hazard lamps. When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left turn or right turn position, the BCM receives a signal from the turn signal switch. The BCM then sends an on-off voltage signal to either the left or right turn signals and their instrument panel cluster (IPC) indicator. When the hazard switch is pressed, the BCM receives a signal from the hazard switch. The BCM then will send an on-off voltage signal to all the turn signal lamps. All the turn signal lamps will flash including both IPC turn signal indicators.

Repair an open, high resistance, or short to ground in the inoperative turn signal supply voltage circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

SOURCE: Rear blinker does not work need to access bulb

Your rear bulb is burnt out if you say the front one is working .. the speed up of flashing means your bulb is bad.. you might have to get in the trunk and unscrrew those hand wing nuts and push that tail light outward to get to the bulbs ... thanks Jerry and holler if you need more.

SOURCE: 1998 Chevy Cavalier Z24 left rear brake/turn lamps will not work

Sometimes even a new bulb will not work. If you have a Digital Multi Meter you can check that you have power going to the rear. I know that sometimes when a vehicle loses a bulb in one end that it can make the other end stop working. With that said, I suggest that you double check to see that the front works. I used to own a 98 Cavalier RS with the 2.2 liter motor and I know that there are fuses under the hood and behind a little door on the drivers side in the car. Might check fuses under the hood also.

Sounds like the flasher unit to me. Normally the emergency flasher and turn signal are separate.

Honda Accord 2006 turning signal not functioning

First check both front and rear lft side bulbs. Then, I would check the signal relay. I think it is under the dash one the left side. Here is want your are looking for. A new one cost about $12-$15 at most parts stores. Last I would suspect the signal switch assembly on the column. (Perchance you have a trailer hitch plug? If so look there too)

Why won't the front turn signal work? I just replaced the entire headlamp assembly on 2005 Chevy Malibu.

is turn signal plugged in?
if this is a new bulb try the old one to make sure bulb is not at fault
then need to check the voltage at the connector.
A test light is easiest way from a good ground to each terminal.
if flashing the ground connection could be corroded.
if nothing at connector try the connection at the turn signal switch.

Malibu 2006 LT. The Left Front and Right Tail Turn Signal Lamps don't blink, the light just stay on but not blinking, check bulb ok. What could be the problem here? Thanks.

The other turn signal bulbs are blown, or the turn signal unit itself is bad. it is under the dashboard and makes the ticking noise when the turn signal is on.

Steps to replacing right front signal light bulb in 2005 Malibu

Raise hood and remove two hex bolts holding light assembly. You will see three round rubber covers, approximately 4" in diameter. Unscrew the one to the far left, giving access to the signal light bulb. The bulb pulls straight out. Insert new bulb, replace rubber cover, attacht light assembly back to vehicle with hex bolts, close hood, and pat yourself on the back for job well done.
